  2. Not in a million years. If that retaining nut is working loose all the time then there is an issue with the threads on the nut. It shouldn't need any thread locker at all. Your set up looks a bit of a lash up with the screw clamp, obviously not standard. Phil

  4. Art it is . Cheers Tom.
  5. If you claim that it is art, then no-one will criticise it. In fact, I rather like photos that are taken into the light.

Ahh, I wondered about the colour. A different colour alone would explain the different part number, even if it is actually physically the same part.

No measurement, looks the same. Black colored, looks different, sure the same. Cheers Tom. Sent fra min SM-S906B via Tapatalk

    V11 kickstand

Anyone with early and later V11s that could compare the sidestands, er "side-by-side" ?
  9. Realy bad picture. Cheers Tom. Sent fra min SM-S906B via Tapatalk
  10. The little dude is tireless and shows some real soul in his playing. Best for all of them that he keeps his time locked with the bass. I've played with some drummers that wouldn't lock-on. After a while, everyone just packs up and goes home. In all honesty, though, our bass player is just not that cute.
  11. Yes, he is very good. And not just bashing away, he is focussed on the bass player, and she is doing a pretty flash job of it too, I reckon. What say you @docc
  12. I'm pretty sure loctite only works between metal surfaces. The data sheet here appears to confirm that. From the product description https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/24239.pdf EDIT PS: further evidence that loctite doesn't cure against plastic is that the cap on the bottle never gets glued on like, for instance, the one on the super glue tube does.

Maybe not. The parts lists at Wendel in Berlin show a change in the part number, at least for the "stick", around 2002. Subsequent lists refer to "Seitenständer V11 neu", i.e. "sidestand V11 new". The first version, part no. GU02432100 https://wendelmotorraeder.de/fussrasten-v11-sportmandello-99-01-ex-30_3006_300602_30060201_3006020110_300602011003.html https://wendelmotorraeder.de/fussrasten-v11-nakedle-manns-01-02-ex-30_3006_300602_30060202_3006020210_300602021003.html and the new version, part no. GU01432190 https://wendelmotorraeder.de/fussrasten-staender-v11-02-le-mansskura-ex-30_3006_300602_30060203_3006020310_300602031003.html https://wendelmotorraeder.de/fussrasten-staender-v11-03-04-corsa-ex-30_3006_300602_30060204_3006020410_300602041003.html https://wendelmotorraeder.de/fussrasten-staender-v11-03-05-cafballabio-ex-30_3006_300602_30060205_3006020510_300602051003.html However it seems that the new version might fit on the earlier models. Stein-Dinse only lists the newer part number. There is a comment in the list and in the listing in their shop "Nachfolgeprodukt für Artikel: 02432100", i.e. "replacement product for article: 02432100" https://www.stein-dinse.com/de/moto-guzzi-seitenstaender-v11-le-mans-naked-ballabio/item-2-1020771-01432190-.html and under "Geeignet für" i.e. "suitable for" they list pretty much all the V11 Models. The thlot pickens....
  14. I know that YT is full of these talented kids, one better than the next. I relate to that, because I tried to teach guitar to my son when he was 5 years old, and I could never get him interested, even if he did pretty well, as I was trying to get him to like it. I was in awe watching the little guy playing the drums in that humpteenth cover of the Deep Purple highway star...

    V11 kickstand

Just the "stick"/ #1 : SIDE STAND (#01432190), or some/all of the whole Rube Goldberg mechanism? All sidestands were the same throughout the 1999-2005 V11 SpineFrame range?
  16. The plastic screw cap that connects the angled gear of my Quota Speedometer/Odometer came undone yesterday as I was riding. I took this photo prior to sending both instruments to Casa di Moto in Germany, for rejuvenation fixing the jerky Tachometer. I saw the worm screw clamp, but did not mess with it. I sent it as is, so it could be checked by Casa di Moto. Should I use mild loctite to prevent it to unscrew itself again? or the garden hose clamp the ultimate solution?
  17. I did the GOM/GOA? stops yesterday, and literally froze myself on the trip back home.... I only checked the weather punctually, and did not anticipate the huge drop in temperature as the afternoon went on. I stopped a bit at Corpus Christi to observe the new bridge construction... impressive! The Quota fuel mileage is a lot better than that of the V11: 45 mpg! According to the triplog App, the total mileage was 443 miles. The gear lever issue was defintively solved; however, the connection to the Speedo/Odometer fell off. It unscrewed itself. I now understand why all the other connections had worm screw clamps on them...
  18. I don’t want to derail activepops thread here, but to indulge just a little more…. where’d you find tire irons with the axle nut wrenches on the ends for the husky? great idea… two large-ish tools combined into one. love that idea. my 501 I use on road as well, connecting sections of off-road, or to get home on all tarmac after days of going 1 direction off road, so i haven’t gone down the tubliss path, though i was going to on my former “all dirt” bike. I’m toying with a handlebar mount tool bag now for the 501, and a frame mounted tube for tire irons. problem on the 501 is lack of rear subframe to attach that tool cylinder. I used the slime product for years in mexico on our ATV’s, and basically 3/4 of the time it was all that was needed. seems like more often on the off-road 2-wheelers the flats can be more problematic and not sufficed with slime, mostly because it tends to only work well with the tubeless setups.
  19. I read just about every test I could find about that car when it came out. It was developed and released during the time when Honda was, to use the words of a motoring journalist that I read once, "showing the world how to build motors" by their dominance in Forumla 1. The tests of the NSX that I read were all more than positive. And it was pretty...
  20. For the dirt (Husky 501 same as you) I carry a tool belt that I've outfitted with lightweight tools. Even though I run the Tubliss setup front and rear. I carry the Airmoto pump in the backpack now, since it has 4 pre-set pressures, I have one at set over 100 psi for the small tube and one for about 15, which the max I would run for the knobbies. The pump is less space and wieght than carrying a front tube. I still carry the tire irons, since they also have the axle nuts on one end. Sometimes, on a longer ADV bike trip, I will put the dirt-bike tool kit in a saddle bag, since it has tape, wire, sockets with T-handle, zip ties, knife, pliers, etc.

    I need a V11 kickstand, 2003-04.
  22. No , it doesn't look cool. It looks righteous !
  23. was that car that righteous ?
  24. Some months ago…a request was made by footgoose for a photo of the three Tenni’s…..now the V11 is assembled…. Regards from tennitragic!
  25. Pete, it seems we think alike. As far as I'm concerned, your attitude is exactly right.
  26. Yes, very boring. Wouldn't want one of them at all. For sure. Really. Not jealous at all.
  27. @audiomick, @gstallons, you guys hijacking my titanium exhaust thread with your cool Pantera's and old Mustangs?! all i had was this boring Honda for groceries...
