czakky Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I can't decide how I feel about that green Ghezzi, watch the youtube vids on it and the noise it makes is amazing. It's probably a little too clean and purdy for me. Either way it's a great deal.

It's probably a little too clean and purdy for me. Either way it's a great deal. Hahaha, I love it, except for the fact the brake lever was broken and re-welded! Pony up for a new lever you cheap-O! On a bike like that, it should probably have aftermarket rear sets anyways. Yes, definitely saw the YouTube videos way back, before I even got my V11. This bike, and a local custom greenie are the bikes that actually steered me away from buying a Griso and on towards V11 addiction! Just for fun, here are a couple of shots of both bikes...I've been trying to get a hold of the local owner of the first bike through the gentleman that I bought my V11 from but no luck so far. I don't know what I'd do if he offered it for sale again! But heck, 5 grand plus shipping from Boston on the Ghezzi bike is still cheaper than the local Quat-D bike (I think he was asking $7500). I actually bought a poster of the bike, from a distributor in the UK of all places:
czakky Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Italian born, swiss tuned. You cant go wrong. I would probably pony up the cash for the quat-d exhaust. I love how it exposes the skeletal swingarm.

I'm with you on that - I was really bummed to find out that the Quat-D exhausts are basically impossible to get...but I did read someplace that they don't quite sound as good as they look...

Don't even bother... sounds like marbles in a large paint can. As far as the looks of the QuatD: the classical bike design of the V11 needs some proper mufflers that stick out

P.s. did you watch my final wrap-up videos on my restoration thread? I think the bike sounds pretty damn good with stock LaFranconi carbon fiber pipes. I'm definitely happy with the sound, and I still have the OEM look too.
