Admin Jaap Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 The standard search results can be sorted by relevance or last update time. This will produce better results. You can also use the advanced search. I know it takes a little bit more effort than it used to, but there are still options to produce to the point results. I can't change the default settings now, maybe in a future version.
Chuck Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Wow! This is the first time I've used the search function on the new site, and it took me directly to what I was looking for.
docc Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 A question has come up about searching for a number (Scura) 599: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6728&p=215616 Is it possible the search function only sees words and not numerals?
bbolesaz Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Figured it out with some experimentation and googling. This forum won't allow a search term with less than 4 characters. So, for example, in the registry, it will find "wales" but not "usa" or "599". It also won't search profile info or tag lines either, which is why it couldn't find occurances of #599 which existed in the profile of Guzzistajohn.
docc Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Makes sense, but: I could not search common part numbers recently posted for flywheels. It finds "GU04067000" but not "04 06 70 00" or "04067000"
