  1. " Odyssey is adamant that the battery will not charge with under 6 volts. I thought you meant to say under 6 amps. Maybe I misunderstood?

  2. The 925 does come back as a battery for some Guzzi's. I was actually able to fit it on my Daytona. But it was way bigger than the original battery, and the Daytona carried its battery (past tense) under where the passenger would sit. So it was a lot of weight up high and back. I really did like having a battery that powerful, it is almost a car battery. But it needs to be mounted somewhere lower, perhaps under the tranny. I have not given up on fitting that battery back on my Daytona, and perhaps on at least one other Guzzi of mine. But it would never fit in the stock location of a V11 Sport.

  3. Finally I am able to get back on here, For some reason I am unable to get on from work That's ok though, today is my last day there. I'm not convinced it's the battery, run a wire from the starter solenoid and touch it on the battery +, if it cranks like that it's something else. I guess this message must have shown up the other day but I couldn't see it, either that or I am loosing the plot. Hot wiring the starter will eliminate the possibility of bad wiring or a relay from the mix, just the starter, solenoid and battery

  5. Congrats on the new ride. I feel like I have to get another one to keep up now. But the sad truth is I don't have enough time for the 4 that I have (plus the wife's Monster and my MP3 500).

  6. Hi all, Joined the forum a few months back, but no post up until now, I have mainly been sneaking around....... I have a 2001 V11 Le Mans, Champagne (bought her in June last year). Pics will follow once I figure out how that works (the forum update seems to be causing some problems with that). 'Bike history' (sounds more impressive than it actually is): 1984 Honda CBX 550 (stolen), 1978 Honda CX500 (too old/slow for the motorway and sold) and now the Guzzi, definitely a keeper! Tomorrow I am going to replace the old and hardened tires for some fresh rubber, looking forward to the drive home.... Cheers!

  8. Having not gotten to ride much the last few months, the Sport surprised me the other day on a little spirited jaunt through the hills (I was thinking of the SoCal guys and their amazing climbs just off the coast . . . ) I had, frankly, forgotten about the airbox bellmouth modification, but the lovely tone and acoustic sonority immediately reminded me! It occurred to me that this primary *glass mandrel* provided the elusive answer to the desire to change the stock airbox . . . The stock airbox is obviously just too yang and needs a good dose of yin for proper balance in the universe. And I thought it was all about science and Bernouli and such . . . That it comes form "Evil Twin" makes it ever-so-much-more right!

  9. First - the fact that this level of ingenuity and conversation exists on this forum is so cool. Second - I haven't had the problem yet, but thought I'd give a try at searching for the part. I found something on a Honda ST forum that referenced the same part number - so there could be a cross-compatible Honda (aka cheaper) part. The same site also referenced a US$0.64 replacement thermistor from Digi-Key (from whom I just purchased my relays). I do not know how to determine if this thermistor could be used to repair the stock MG part - but maybe you guys would know. Is $0.64 cheap enough? Third - please blab on. I am also interested in how things work - even if it does not address a specific issue that I am currently facing.
