Sounds like the main shift eccentric stop is out of adjustment. Check out the V11 shift improvement sticky thread and pull the selector assembly off and adjust it on the bench. You haven’t nipped up the long allen bolt on the lever have you? It wants a wee bit o slop in it or it binds. Which is a bind.

- By idle screw you mean one of the throttle stop scews? Don't use this procedure with my (or any) BIN. The main and delta fuel values are synchronized at every breakpoint. If you change the idle throttle of one throttle only then you lost the synchronization between the TPS breakpoints. Sync'ing in idle is the only way to match the TPS breakpoints. And it's especially important in the low load area because the TPS breakpoints are spaced so tightly. Getting this and the base line setting of 157mV right are the single most important steps. The V11 TPS placement on the right side is rather unfortunate because wear-prone connections introduce play. Cheers Meinolf

Rode the bike yesterday fpr the first time since completing the shifter work. It shifts as good or better than my Japanese bikes now. The extender bracker and the dressing of the shifter pawl parts made a huge difference. I used to be feeling around for the shift, now it's crisp, short action. Thanks Chuck and Scud and all others who have worked on this stuff!

It will but the gearbox input drive spline won't fit the 6 speed gearbox and the clutch pushrod MAY need to be modified. You can still buy the 6 speed input drive spline separately. ciao

No Roper plate isn't a deal killer. Ask Pete how many plates he's sold vs number of V11s sold. If it runs it's survived so far without the plate.

It's interesting how much simpler the second generation Hi-Cam is compared to the original. While Carcano's swansong is undoubtably a tour de force in 1960's design terms it is also complex and, in many ways, a fragile thing. The Nuovo Hi-Cam in comparison is not only incredibly simple but also astonishingly robust! If they hadn't chosen to save a few dollars a bike by downgrading to flat tappets and rendering the top end a ticking time bomb it really could of been an 'Engine for the ages'. Alas it wasn't to be. The bean counters did for it and now we're seemingly stuck with boring, Uber-conservative, dreary motive units until after I'm dead! I weep!
