  1. I was never able to fully figure out why the handlebar starter switch would not work. There seems to be a broken wire inside the harness somewhere so i would use a small blade screwdriver to jump the starter connections. I realized the other day that the dust was gathering because I wasn't riding as often cause of the starting situation. Don't have that problem anymore As far as safety goes...well I'm old and crusty and I don't need no stinking safety switches. Somethings are just very old habits. Maybe this will last another 122,000 miles

  3. I did the 23andMe DNA test and it mostly confirmed stuff I knew, because my family had kept good records going back to people who came to the US from England in the 1600s. But the big (and fun) surprise was that my quantity of Neanderthal DNA markers is in the top 2% of all people tested. I am totally using this as an excuse to go to the mountains any time I want. It's in my nature... have to get back to my roots... a cave-man has to build a fire... etc. On the intellectual side. I find it fascinating that my body contains evidence of interbreeding of two human species 40,000 years ago - which is one of the more important scientific findings in recent years (at least in the field of human evolution). Have any of you done a DNA test and did you learn anything surprising?

  5. Just a reminder, I am headed to the Euro Raid at the Quality Inn, Harrison Ark, 30 May - 2 Jun. I'll probably be on the Ducati but this can suffice as the legacy to last year's rally and is an annual event. It caters to European bikes including Moto Guzzi. https://www.ozarkratraid.com/

  6. Your mileage is a lot higher than mine was, i had to use throttle stops on both throttle bodies to get the idle consistent. I would find the point of contact with a slip of paper and then turn each screw the same No of flats.

  7. Before you scrap the regulator do you have an additional ground to it? all the current has to pass back through the ground connections. The small black ground wire is not adequate, any Voltage lost there is Voltage lost to the battery. A short wire or piece of Aluminium strap (similar metals) from the regulator case to a timing cover screw has solved many a problem, make sure you apply some grease. As Docc says the 30 Amp fuse should show no sign of discolouration, dark colouring is a sign of overheating due to resistance.

  11. Check my bike in my avatar and Albums. I've had the Agostini mufflers with the DB killers removed and Stucchi crossover for years. Sounds great and performs well. I tried about 4 different mufflers over the years and settled on these in the end. Ciao

  12. Hi, I doubt that this is the only reason, but certainly a contributing factor. The ADC used in the 15M is a 8bit, which resolves the 5V to steps of 19,53mV. The delta between 157 and 170mV is 13mV, this equals roughly one ADC step. So the fuel values would slip one row, which is noticeable but not to the extent of what you describe. A re-sync is what I would do. Cheers Meinolf
