  1. I find that saving a couple pounds on the Guzzi is like me skipping dessert... in theory a good idea...

  2. I find the low weight of Lithium batteries appealing, but I find the durability, longevity, and reliability, of the Odyssey vastly more appealing.

  3. Sometimes the wires from the stator break off inside the housing... If that would be the case a simple re-solder would do.

  4. Yes docc when I change the fluid in my wifes car 6 or so months ago I was struggling to get uncontaminated fluid indication on my tester until I actually checked the fluid out of the new bottle and found it to be 1% already!!! I had some old fluid in a sealed bottle I had had for years and checked it and it was zero. I'll be opening any new stuff I buy at the store in future and testing it before I lay down my money thats for sure. Ciao

  5. there are no markings on the flywheel, however, it would seem that a single plate clutch system that was designed for specific oem use in 3 model variations, would be supplied to MG by one source. Especially given the uniqueness and compatibility of said kit. Now, ... RAM could very well have outsourced the flywheel and probably did.. to a casting vendor, but I doubt MG made it. Without some "inside" info or markings, I doubt we'll ever know. Safe to say - don't ever install one. Guzzi (circa 2000) "it'd be cool to put a lightened flywheel in some of the new models... hey RAM, what'dya think?" RAM ... "no problem"

  6. actually, it appears that they were the outsourced OEM manufacturers for the stock single plate alu. clutch including the flywheel. If you go to my other thread on the RAM clutch kit there are photos, on page 3, posted by footgoose.

  7. I like changing my hydraulic fluids when the wheel comes off; front usually less than two years, rear (and clutch) about a year. By then the piston movement needs evened out anyway. Using a tester looks like great method. Our Resident Pros do it! Wheels Off Maintenance Checklist
