  1. Should be fine if it hasnt seen too much weather. Apart from oil changes and filters.. new plugs, new tyres. There'd be a few things to check, like the earth on the back of the gear box is clean and earthing correctly. Change the relays. Lube all the moving parts and bearings like the ignition switch, levers, uni joints, swingarm bearings, headstock bearing, new fork oil and seals and probably rechroming the stauncions . New injectors or remove and clean. Same for the fuel pump - get it spinning by air before you apply power and burn out a seized pump. Check the oil pump, no chips in the teeth and spins ok. Spray oil everywhere in the engine and heads. Check and adjust valves tolerances. When you have checked everything, spin the engine up on the starter only (with kill switch on) a few times for about 10 secs each time and for a total of minute Or until the oil light goes out. This would generally happen after about 40secs but if it hasn't primed the oil system by 60secs, you should see if any oil is circulating before continuing. If all good, then start the bike. Ride..

  2. There's a reason I coined the phrase "going out of business since 1921." They've alway been a small company hanging on by their bootstraps, and making wonderful motorcycles with very little money. The last really competently engineered machine was the V7 Sport, IMHO. There is generally a lot of afterthought engineering. The Centauro was one of those worst cases, and our beloved V11 Sports are it's children. Ahh, forward thinking is for Honda..

  3. Yeah, it surprised me that link displayed the later "faired" Sport design study from Marabese Design/ June 2000. Luciano, himself, said he designed the V11 Sport in one night, without being asked by any Guzzi management or others; as an inspiration. And he was adamant that his vision was in one color, "monochromatic." Luciano Marabese/ V11 Sport Designer

  7. Hi guys for those of us who live in the UK Casper breakout lead for the TPS is difficult to source . However I have found a UK company online selling the parts to make the lead yourself . Autoelectricalsupplies.co.uk The connector was listed as part no: 050603-£4.83 The cable listed as part no : 010702-£0.43 per metre easy to make up and cheap as chips 👍

  8. Yeah, I got the Forma's, size 10. They were huge on me so I returned them. Otherwise they look like great boots. I might try a 9, but I have a very narrow foot and I don't think the 9 will be much narrower than the 10. So I might try a similar style by Klim - the Outlander GTX. I have also worn regular hiking boots on adventure rides, which are comfortable, but don't offer much in the way of impact protection. Ya gotta tuck the laces in so as to not get caught up on the footpegs and fall down... voice of experience.

  13. Finally, a cool day in this sweltering south'n summer . . . 80 miles in, enjoyed a little loop with a few good riders and back home before the afternoon thunderbumpers.

  14. Went and visited Jim and his beautiful V11 Sport. I even took it around the block. With no bar end weights it's a little buzzy but it's got way more pep than my bike. I think it has a Power Commander, maybe that makes a difference? The FBF mufflers don't hurt either. It's such a sweet bike.
