  1. this is the later offending shift pawl arm Phil referred to. It should measure 15mm at this point. I patiently filed mine down to 15mm/- ...doesn't have to be perfect. You'll see with the spring laid on there.

  4. I still dont see why you cant take a twin plate hub to a machine shop and surface grind the engine side down to the same friction plate spline width as the 6 speed. Ciao

  5. interesting, i just assumed they were stock as they sure look like it at first glance. they sound fine so no complaints! if I did swap i might go CF to match the bike better as its already got CF bits and pieces.. but its not a priority.

  6. Not sure if it's the shift spring or return spring. I was simply in traffic and it was getting stuck then finally stuck on 2nd gear. I'm gonna open her up. I started reading up on the thread above you just sent. I wonder if the return spring is fitted the wrong way, someone opened it up before me. I'll know tomorrow. Also after I changed the spring, the neutral light was coming on between 1st and 2nd which it didn't do before when I bought the bike a few years ago. Anyway, I'll know soon. Thank you. Have a great weekend.

  7. You can also use a single LED with a pair of diodes to prevent cross talk, that's what I have on my loop. Here's a sketch I did for someone, In the first diagram I explain why its no problem with incandescent lamps The second diagram shows cross talk The third diagram shows how back to back diodes prevent cross talk, any small diode will do eg 1N4004. Note: All 12 Volt LEDs incorporate a series resistor to limit the current to 15 mA or less, I haven't shown these for simplicity.

  8. Under 4000rpm is like stepping on the toes of your Tango partner. 5000 to 6000+ is pure aria ! (Especially with some freer flowing canisters . . .)

  10. Dorcia loved your rant, Pete. I told her to paste some of it in her facebook feed. One of the wimmen she used to work with was bitching about having "one of those muslims" in congress. She never says anything on facebook, but this time she did. It's about time.

  11. Stew, I have old time friends (friends from years gone by) that are in the UK. They are native born, classic traditional British people. They are well educated, smart, and down right nice people. I have not talked to them in a while, and thought that maybe I should reach out to them at this time. Then I thought "What if they are on the side of the racists?" and decided to let it go. It is odd how someone who can seem so normal can suddenly turn into a giant ass when they suddenly start spewing racist garbage. Put me in the "I hate racists" camp. I was also disgusted by the people who are saying they have been tricked into voting to leave with false promises. Those pie in the sky promises were so clearly never going to happen, you really had to want to believe in them to believe them. The only thing worse then people making really bad decisions is when they won't then own up on their bad decision. I hope this does not go as badly for the UK as it looks like it will. Good luck. And wish us luck while you are at it.

  12. Impressive. That's roughly 250 Watts. That's hot. The headlight burns 60 Watts, enough to lighten cigarettes
