  1. So, I did big on the back and small on the front. Big would be cool on the front, too.

  2. Thank you. I had never thought about getting one until my BIL put his up for sale. For those of us who grew up in the 60s, the Dunstall Norton was the fire-breathing superbike. The EX is almost exactly as quick and fast. How times change.

  3. Ah, no; just saw something Docc posted with that logo, looked it up and poached it. I was getting some other shirts done, and asked if she could do this. So she can. So you can too! Pookie's Place! I bought a few shirts, and the 'Guzzi shirt is premium Gildan so I don't know the exact price, but they were all just a bit north of $15, all custom like this too. I told her if it came out nice a few people might call it up. She'll do big, small, colors, whatever you want.

  5. Scissor jack under the sump, some wooden blocks under the sideplates and then strap it down from the cylinders. And as an extra safety measure a strap over the saddle. (use padding) They do that on some ferries too. If you have it set up, show us a pic!

  6. Very nice bike. 43 yrs ago my very first street bike, a KZ400, was a grandfather to this model. I volunteer with the VRRA (vintage road racing association), that model bike is one of their favorite track bikes. Recently one of the best engine builders, Jamie Barkley? had a "very" worked on EX500 track bike for sale; I forget all the engine work and power numbers, but what was very impressive and would make it a blast to ride; he had the weight down to 325 lbs. They have a reputation for being an excellent, reliable, very easy to live with race bike. Enjoy it, it looks like a sweet ride. Kelly

  7. Many thx all! i’ll email Ghezzi then, and see what comes of that. May allow myself the indulgence of some CRG levers, to go along with this winters otherwise mechanical focused work (tune). off to japan in a week and a half to ride a 1250gs around for a while on the South Island of Kyushu. No v11’s for rent were forthcoming.... :->

  8. I can rustle up an oem one if you want it. Take what time you need to find one you really want first. It'll be here for a back up plan. The smallish cf's look so good

  9. That's the first thing I tell new riders. Pretend you are invisible. If you expect a car to slow down or swerve to miss you, you are seriously screwing up.

  10. Mmmm... suspenders... I am finally well suspendered! Got a Ohlins boinger on the back and new andreani kits on the front! Bike handling ace for a fat lass- nowhere near as much dive through the front. She’s riding the ripples and bumps much better already too and I reckon there’ll be scope to tweek it further. Feeling rather jammy if I do say so.

  11. Yep. I feel safer when I ride as if I were invisible. Or as Docc correctly wrote: they pull out in front of 'full bright' fire trucks anyway. Besides that this attitude makes me feel as if I could safely ride on in my dark riding gear: waxed muck over black Dainese leathers
