  1. Thanks for that great shot, Docc. My '97 Sport-i is wide sump and has the same basic design as this photo, BUT they've corrected a flaw. Mine, where the 6mm bolt passes through the bracket has a broached flat for the head, leaving a hard machined corner right in the angle behind the bolt head. Here, they've raised the boss for the bolt and spot-faced, keeping the forging intact. If this bracket is available, I'll upgrade mine as I verified that it was cracking and welded a repair. The leg itself, though, is still short and mine has only the short nub to deploy it. The obvious answer here is just to install later V11 parts. If they're available, and not prohibitively expensive.

  2. Noobie here who recently purchased my 2nd V11 Sport. It is a silver 2000 with Magni Fairing , Ferracci pipes and only 2400 miles on the clock. It looks nearly showroom new with no nicks, dents, blemishes, etc. The PO was a Guzzi die hard who had quite a few 70's and 80's big block Guzzi's in his collection. The reason for the post is the one unusual thing about the bike is the red frame above the foot pegs on both sides is faded. This seemed unusual to me considering the overall condition and miles of the bike. Has anyone seen this type fading before? It's a minor thing and not very noticeable in these pictures but has me curious.

  4. Remember the Fish Carburetor? Those things would double both power and mileage. The oil companies bought the patents and kept them off the market.

  5. No, they're Shinkos. They are..uh.. ok for what I use this bike for in the plains of Indiana.
