  1. Thx for the parts check docc. That’s what i found too this morning. dave - i’m Just down the road from you... north plains. The MG shop there near PDX didn’t answer or return my calls for several weeks, when i left messages for the parts people. Then the google thing just came up as well, so figured it was curtains. But if they’re still open, trying to deliver all those V85’s they say they sold before they call it quits, maybe i’ll get my $15 part yet.

  2. I just paid Toyota $135US to log on to my vehicle and defeat a remote feature that I had paid them #135US to activate. "Cost of ownership", I thought. If it were a motorcycle , I would be throwing a hissy-fit!

  3. I did manage to start engine tho it will be a process to get it wright. The little red light does not work so I just wing it!The only electric tool I can use is a multimeter. Balancing the tb's is difficult with a manometer, regrettably I resort to the Twin Max till balance is somewhere near then I can use the manometer to get it right. Phase sensor was the main problem---then ecu connection+many many other problems that made this repair a night mare, all in all if I SQUINT I think I see light at tunnels end---thank all of you for your support.

  4. It seems as if the higher-ups are determine to hit an iceberg no matter how successful they have been . Intelligence rules over wisdom !

  5. Same here, one of the best selling BMW dealers (over 30 years!) in the country also sells all four Japanese brands. BMW forced them to either build a separate showroom or give them all available window space. They refused and it escalated quickly. They still sell and repair BMWs, but they are not an official dealer anymore. And they don't care, the margin on new bikes is ridiculously low, even on Beemers.

  6. Yes the DS is a nice bike and I've used it a few times at Phillip Island as well as the tighter Broardford. I've done a few mods to it as well. Its a nice ride and a favourite of mine although they are a bit over geared. Ciao

  7. It looks like Rick will be shutting down the shop at some point. I'll get an exact date when I can.

  8. AJ , buy a bike and then buy the green stuff. I have three fuel tanks for my 03 greenie . The original faded green , a champagne and a red tank . This only gets worse and these bikes will be the last things to go .

  9. $20.52 at AF1. Be aware that most site searches will not process the part number with the spaces and some will not process the "GU" prefix while others require the GU prefix. Of the three sources, AF1 has the best maintained website and online search/availability notations. Yet, thay never actually sold the V11 while both Curtis Harper and Gordon at MGCycle actually know this model. https://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodList.asp

  10. All very good. Not yet seeing something as tedious as the mount bracket on those site, but i’ll Get a schematic and a part number and see if I can drum it up via a search on MGcycle, or one of the others. And just making one will certainly work fine for now, or for long term. update: found one on AF1 site. Just had to scrounge the part number, as nothing seemed to come up under part name. Now will just see how my shop-made one will turn out first...

  11. It's interesting watching the ebb and flow of moto enthusiasm throughout the US. My ex father in law dealt in euro-specialty autos and said cities with a shipping port were where the enthusiasm took the strongest hold. These days it's probably different. Goose dealers around here rarely last long. Harpers beat the odds and still has a fairly strong foothold. I've been there and the family set up seems pretty secure. Let me know what part it is you're needing and I'll look through my spares.

  12. Ok so this is not a song, but the sound is pure hypnotic motorcycle bliss. Turn up the volume!
