  1. Made my day today. Hadn't ridden the Greenie in a few weeks. Started like a top, ran a minute and done. No fuel pump. Played around with fuses, then found this to pinpoint #5 relay. Contact cleaner and the old in and out, relay musical chairs and then it ran. Ran it 75 miles or so.

  2. Hello, I am a lucky man : I found the original Moto Guzzi luggage for V11, in mint condition (never used for 20 years). I mounted it on the bike...and I am very happy with the result ! I

  4. Has anyone on this site heard of Brisk spark plugs ? I was talking to someone @ the NAPA store yesterday and he was telling me about these plugs from the Czech Republic that are supposed to be SUPERIOR . I'm going to search the history , etc. He said they are OEM for Lamborghini ? Not too bad .

  5. Here's a little spark plug science for you; Nology plugs I can attest to the fact that some engines really, really hate platinum or iridium plugs; GM 2.4TC, 1990's GM 5.7 TBI. Every engine type and every ignition type has different requirements and peculiarities. I use NGK BPRs in my 'Guzzis. There is rarely any magic in spark plugs; some engines hate some plugs, but as a rule if your engine isn't race-tuned, you'll never notice any difference. Back in racing days I did find that in an 883 H-D sportster, dual-ground strap plugs gave a hint more power and covered up a bit of rich/lean during carb transitions. That could potentially help our dinosaurs, but I've not tested it.

  6. My Ballabio bikini fairing has a nasty sound to it from vibration so I’m taking it off and will check it out . Tightening the shield might of cracked the plastic . If anyone has been through this would sure appreciate any suggestions to remediate . Sorry for no pic , one day I will get the software figured out . Thanks

  8. My guess, and it is only a guess, is the crankshaft sensor. Maybe gapped a little too wide? In that scenario, it will run at idle, but won't take throttle.

  9. While researching fuel mapping changes I hope to make in the near future, I stumbled across this old post. I noticed there wasn't a visible answer to the question I posed. I thought it would be a good idea to have a direct email address link here, for anyone wishing to donate to guzzidiag: guzzidiag@gmail.com I know I will forget to mention some names, but a sincere thank you to Beard, Meinolf, Paul, Beetle, Pete, Jaap, Docc etc, your knowledge and generosity has helped us guzzi owners immensely. Thank you Kelly

  10. I had to think for a second as well docc but if you look at your images in the link when your input nut backed off you can see the non reduced end there. I also went and checked my old engine and the reduced end is definitely at the slave end. God I only assembled the Daytona engine a few months ago and I'd forgotten already. Ciao
