  3. Two-smokers are not often a delight to hear. But that maniac genius Allen Millyard created a 5 cyl 1250cc H3 Kawi. On the boil, danged if it does not sound like an F1 motor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a90677Qci3g

  6. Hello, V11 aficionados! This thread is about me and my Greenie. Good days and bad days. A steep learning curve, maintenance, and later on some tuning and styling. I bought the '00 V11 Greenie on the last day of August 2019. A friend drove me from Gausdal to Stryn, and I drove home on the bike. My first trip on a Guzzi since I sold the V65 Lario in 1995. 300 km in cold weather, rain, and sun. I enjoyed every moment, every curve. Right now I'm doing the long overdue winter maintenance. There are quite a lot of things to fix, inspect and enhance. I have a long list. I will be grateful for every comment. Flickr album is here

  7. Got license plates yesterday, new Pirelly Angel GT and new front bearings on the Greenie. PO di'nt like corner's, plenty of meat left on the Dunlops, but flat like a , di'nt handle good, compared to my R Corsa with Øhlins and Pirelly GT's. Checked the frame, straitgh to my abillity, wondering about suspension , new GT's today = NICE. Will do a new sync after a trip in the mountains, first tuning Meinolf 's way, 2-3000rpm in town traffic speeds, not perfect, rest of the curve = YES. I know I mentioned it before, my Greenie felt like a bomb compared to my R Corsa , but felt more even today ??? More reports later. What a serious relationship. Still V early in the season up here, theyr'e , not going anywhere. Next week 6c and rain Yes I have another IPA. Cheers Tom Sent fra min SM-A505FN via Tapatalk

  11. If you haven't already you should do a leak down test. The engine might just be broken in but its full of dissimilar metals. Chances are 99 out of a 100 there is nothing wrong, still its good to know. You could have a valve that open just a crack or there is some galvanic action going on.

  13. It is "what I don't know" is in the throttle bodies that worries me . Why are you interested in putting them in the cleaner ? Now , as far as the SS screws , people buy SS screw kits all the time for their bikes . The problem you have is ; the loctite red is for PERMANENT installation . It did it's job . There is red , blue green and purple Loctite . You need to read up om this stuff and decide which is best for your application . The also have a Loctite primer spray . check it out too . 99 % of everything I install has something on it . Anti-sieze , dry film graphite spray , oil or some form of Loctite . .

  14. Actually you may want to consider checking the clutch is free. I've had a friend with a Cali III FI whom's clutch fused together in sitting just 8 months. If your gearbox is out as well, just connect the engine and gearbox together with 4 bolts and connect & bleed the clutch lever (next to the bike) and see if she declutches. If that works, all fine. If the gearbox is out anyway, should take less then an hour and no need for special tools.

  16. As I mentioned in another thread, I'm happy with my CRG barend mirrors, tucked in, give a decent rear view, and one of mine even survived the V11 driveway drop test. CRG makes many other styles, link below if interested (no relation, my mirrors came with the bike when I bought it). http://www.constructorsrg.com/mirrors/index.html

  17. Today - Canadians everywhere, and fellow Nova Scotians in particular, will be remembering the 22 victims of the recent shootings - sadly - the largest in our nations history. In what are already difficult times - spare a thought for innocent victims everywhere and do whatever you can to make this world a better / safer place for all of us. Gio PS - there will be an on-line vigil (fb and CBC radio / television) tonight beginning at 7pm eastern time.
