  1. Back in February my brother came out for The One Show and despite it being a bit "brisk" we got out for a little ride. It was his first time on a V11 Sport. He didn't mind it. Fast forward to yesterday... He and a buddy went down to SC (not too far away) and snagged this thing. It wasn't expensive. Apparently the owner got some Italian lust and had to have it. Kept the bike inside the house. The master of the house (wife) wasn't too please with the new mistress and made him sell it. Very low miles. Engine paint is, of course, not good. The rest looks nice. Some sweet bits on those models. Olins and carbon everywhere! Not bad for not being green.

  2. Yes docc, I removed the studs on the Daytona engine when it was apart by the old method of a pair of nuts locked together and it was ok to do on the bench but you dont have enough stud length to do that with the gearbox mounted. With the plate fitted and the washers removed the threads end up just a little under flush which isnt aircraft standard and I'd rather it a thread and a half protruding but I know its not going to cause an issue as long as you keep an eye on them for loosening. When I refitted my original studs I used blue loctite and left them a couple of turns from fully bottomed as there's tons of thread engagement in the cases but when I fitted the nuts probably due to their locking feature it broke the loctite and just wound the studs back in to where they were before. In hind sight I should have machined up a little plug to fit down the stud hole so it bottomed on something. Ciao

  3. No idea, and not enough access to the bracket to measure. I'm going to use the 80/20 rule and say Probably.

  4. Bad? No - just advisable if not necessary! Am guessing that better coils are available. Would do coil-on-plug, but then I would need "Overwidth Vehicle" flags and flashing yellow lights.

  6. Uh oh ! I mentioned them a while back and got shot down breathing a word about them . BTW , these spark plugs are the result of running way too rich . Have you properly synched the throttle bodies , adjusted the min air screws and set the TPS ? This may not do any good but you will eliminate this as a factor .
