Yeah, I still have it. A few buyers were interested, but in a world-wide pandemic, motorcycles seem to be the first thing people hesitate buying. Go figure. $4750, includes the OEM clip-ons, triple clamp, bars and bar-end weights to bring it back to stock. If you don't want them, I can drop the price a bit. I also have some other parts I am willing to throw in to sweeten a deal, if there's interest. PM me. Buyer can even have the special grease gun tip I made, to get to that damn upper u-joint without taking off the rear wheel. Yeah, the price is not a "steal", but I defy you to find a better value. All the main issues are taken care of. Don't worry, its a 20 year old Italian bike, you will still have things to tinker with....! My next project was to re-do the fuel lines under the tank, per Scud's method, I have the correct fuel line, the heat sleeve and the shrink wrap end pieces, buyer can have them. There's nothing wrong with what's there, I just like to upgrade things when possible. That's the kind of owner I am. I would really prefer to sell to someone who understands these machines. I would prefer letting her go to a good home. If you are a Ducati or Aprilia owner, but are curious about that other, mystical and legendary Italian marque, this is the bike you want for an introduction. I would also be willing to throw a leg over this bike and ride to Los Angeles, (if my body would take it) that's how much faith I have in it. It has some small "love bites" on it, it's not spotless, but that’s because it's a driver, optimized for performance and reliability, not a garage queen. That's why I don't like it sitting there. Someone should be riding it, and riding it "con Passione"! "A motorcycle is safe in the garage, but that's not what motorcycles were built for"3 points

Proper grounding to the voltage regulator, but not happy with copper-aluminum connection. I guess some white Vaseline will do good. Feinschmecker wire to starter motor. Phoenix Gold 5 AWG (16mm2) Next up: Fuses! A new Tyco 30A breaker will replace my burned fuse.2 points

Dave, An absolutely drop dead gorgeous bike! Of course I'm only saying that because mine is identical. Cheers! John1 point

Well , I stand corrected . It is 0.540 V not 0.450 V . This is the target V to reach when adjusting the desired throttle angle . Sorry .1 point

The MJ is a metal jacket around the same battery. It will fit but requires the battery tray/cage to be lowered a bit. The metal is not necessary, just a beefy exoskeleton.1 point

I'd kind of like to buy that even tho it's not a greenie.. but I'd have to find a buyer for my Ducati first.1 point

Not to be out of line with the seller I hope, but I don't see it on this update but I know yesterday it was on flea bay for $4,750..Nice bike, nice guy.1 point

Well after all the anxiety it was very easy as posted earlier by another member. Support fitting in left hand and push back hose towards fitting while fiddling with the hose collar (again with left hand. Not hard) and pushing off. It was extremely easy......1 point

Just a heads up. I have the material now, but the water jet shop (and about all manufacturing around here) is still closed.1 point

Probably a great time for many of us to pay attention to our Odyssey PC545s. On the cusp of spring in the northern hemisphere and lots of our precious V11 have languished for other reasons keeping us home. Last night during a severe storm watch, I decided to bring an Anker PowerCore battery pack up about 20% using the ten year old PC545 in my test bed, Swampee the Cub Cadet. This battery was in the Sport almost five years, then stepped down into the tractor nearly five more. At some point in the last couple years, I found it under 8 volts and brought it back using these methods. After the Anker charged, I was surprised to find the PC545 at 12.43volts . . . ("That's ded, Jim.") A little research and I discover the PC545 is 13Ah capacity and the Anker (6 x 18650 Li battery pack) is 20.1 Ah! Woops . . . Seems I used the old PC545 to statically charge a battery with 50% more capacity. The EnerSys charger would not set a deep charge after two discharge cycles. I've seen this before: a rather deeply discharged PC545 (below the 12.65v charging threshold) quickly (under a couple minutes) switches to "float" charge on the EnerSys and then stays below the AGM float voltage (13.5-13.8v). Then, as soon as load is applied, the battery would drop back to it's pre-charge state. i.e. - Not taking a charge. Recovery method: applied 6 amp charge, manual/constant, until 15.0 volts was reached (35 minutes). Now to monitor how long it takes to statically discharge to the 12.65v charge threshold. If it takes less than 24-48 hours, I'll repeat the discharge/charge to 15.0v until it either holds for days to weeks, or have to declare the ten year old PC545 "done" at which point the Sport gets a fresh one. Once again, the PC545 is awesome using the correct methods.1 point

Schauer Charge Master CM6A Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BXL2BS4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_QwW6CbP2NPGBD I believe this is th3 least expensive Odyssey approved charger on their list. When I bought it last week it was $62. It’s jumped to $71.1 point

After connecting the 2010-88 to the Deka for a couple hours, then several discharge/ charge cycles (using 10 amps up to several hours), the 8-year old PC545 held to 12.65v over two and half days. I'll keep repeating the discharge/ charge cycles with the 6a Optimizer every time it statically discharges to 80% and see if she'll hold longer and longer . . . At this point, it seems the deep discharge recovery worked on a battery that was little over 7 volts! Dat's ded, mon! Thanks for posting that method, gstallons! http://www.odysseybattery.com/documents/ProceduretorecoverdeeplydischargedODYSSEY.pdf1 point
