  1. Excessive force has never been taught. Has it been practiced? Of course! Sufficient force to overcome resistance is certainly taught, as it is both sound reasoning and should be common sense. Having said that, homicide is certainly committed by some police officers. Why? We will never know. Some of them were never fit to carry badge and gun. Others might have been under a load of stress, on drugs - prescription or otherwise. Either way, and no matter the cause, intentional homicide should net one a controlled environment for the amount of time that judge or jury decides.

  2. a lot of assumptions here....If it was done at a MG shop, then there should be a record of it.There was paper work to get the replacement parts and paper work to be filed when the job was complete. Perfect world. I hope this is the case. The reality is that over the years I have actually seen these kits on eBay.. there is really no way of knowing even looking at the parts side by side. I have the special tools if needed

  3. Opened a box from Italy. A fool and his money are soon parted.... now just need to determine if fitting them, and the new crossover, will be just the typical battle with the fitment, or if there are any special tricks or concerns with that charcoal canister/exhaust mount setup.

  4. I purchased this bike 13 years ago from Ken Johnson at Atlas Cycle in Tulsa, Oklahoma just before Ken retired and sold the business. Ken told me that it had been on display at the shop for many years. The bike hadn't been licensed for the road since 1977. All of the tinware retains its original paint. The frame and other black bits were re-painted, and the rusty hardware was cadmium plated. I tore the bike down, ordered a Gliardoni cylinder set and for the next 12 years the bike was in boxes. Last year I got serious about finishing it. Today I finished the wiring. I installed one of Greg Bender's fabulous wiring harnesses. I also installed his slick "relay solution" panel. Everything worked flawlessly. This was a very rewarding project!

  5. Methinks it's probably the ring gear assembly from one of the single platers used on the Scura/Rosso Mandello etc. it's too big for a smallblock and it's not an 8V as they have a separate ring gear.

  6. I was reviewing my Failed Rear Wheel Bearings thread and found this post/image of how the those needle cage races can deteriorate:

  7. No. I fabricated my own fair mounts from scratch. I started from a Ballabio. I modified the wiring harness for the front turn signals removed the handlebars and installed clip-ons. There is no way to make the fairing work with normal Guzzi bars, even LM is too high I used the headlight mount and added structure to it. Biggest issue is fabricating the fairing mounts. The front mount is a welded steel truss that is probably way over built. The side mounts are 1/8" thick aluminum that bolt onto the valve covers. I can send you pictures of anything that you can't see, but I don't do "step-by-step".

  9. Yes docc my advice was what I "suspected" depending on whether or not the bearing when fitted was tight to turn with a std clearance which would indicated too much interference on the fit. If that was the case i'd go for a C3, but all things being equal with proper housing to bearing interference std bearings are the way to go. A C3 wont hurt it's just not required unless there is an issue as mentioned. The spacer dimension is critical on the front as well but if the bearings are doing 50,000 or more miles then it's probably not an issue. If bearings are failing early then the clearance and spacer dimensions need looking at. My rear wheel bearings are tighter than ideal when fitted and I suspect they may need C3's on the next replacement depending on mileage. Ciao

  12. I left the Cheese and illuminati a long time ago. I can read still read & watch the media and make my own decisions and judgments. <deleted the rest of it>

  13. No need for C3 bearings with additional clearance docc. These are only generally used for high speed or conditions that generate higher bearing temps. Wheel bearings dont fit that criterior. Ciao

  15. 1. America is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. 2. A tragic case of a bad arrest does not condemn an entire nation. 3. Justice will out. 4. FYI: carried badge and gun for 31 years. That is not taught. 5. Turn. The. Media. Off. Unless you enjoy having your thoughts programmed into you. Next critique....
