Although I agree that the stuff that's going is very serious and should be addressed, I still don't think a bike forum is the right place to discuss this. I've had so much sh*t in the past with political threads, that I've become very wary to allow it over here. That's why I'm locking this thread. From the forum rules you all agreed to when signing up: .... Having fun is good, we like fun. Please keep it positive and polite. We do not censor opinions or ideas on our forums but we do take action against posts and/or topics that could cause unrest in the community beyond a civil and polite disagreement. Political discussions are not allowed. There are plenty political forums on the web . ...7 points

Political threads are very divisive. I well remember when two guys that I know, like and respect.. one left and one right.. blew up Wildguzzi. That caused Luap's "no politics" policy. We, on this little V11 forum, won't cure the problems of the world.. as much as we would like to. My personal opinion is that we should just keep it V11S related.4 points

My valves are set according to specs (because this is a "modern" Guzzi Breva 1100 engine): The valve clearance on all 1100/1000 California models (since 1994, frame numbers KC, KD, KG and KH) is: - Intake valve: 0.10 mm - Exhaust valve: 0.15 mm as described in the video on my YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/janguzzi Yes, I also know Danny from the Wilguzzi forum. I also have his final Mistral H-Pipe map (DannyP-Mod12.bin - made by beetle) on my notebook. He wrote me that he did a lot of testing (cold and hot weather together with beetle via email). But experiences from CalVin or California owners in the German Guzzi Forum cleary show that a H-Pipe is just louder and therefore you think your Guzzi has more power. You will loose some midrange torque with a H-Pipe. TPS settings also according to specs: 150 mV => turning the stop screw to get 536 mV (+/- 20 mV) = 3.6° My DÄS Mototec mapping with an open airbox (no snorkles) normally requires a higher CO-trim (approx. 30) but I set it back to 0 because I am using the closed stock airbox. My headers are not getting blue anymore, just a bit yellow when the engine is running longer while not driving.2 points

Excessive force has never been taught. Has it been practiced? Of course! Sufficient force to overcome resistance is certainly taught, as it is both sound reasoning and should be common sense. Having said that, homicide is certainly committed by some police officers. Why? We will never know. Some of them were never fit to carry badge and gun. Others might have been under a load of stress, on drugs - prescription or otherwise. Either way, and no matter the cause, intentional homicide should net one a controlled environment for the amount of time that judge or jury decides.2 points

1. America is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. 2. A tragic case of a bad arrest does not condemn an entire nation. 3. Justice will out. 4. FYI: carried badge and gun for 31 years. That is not taught. 5. Turn. The. Media. Off. Unless you enjoy having your thoughts programmed into you. Next critique....2 points

Since I could not abide in the stock stalk mirrors from new, I went early on to the wee CRG barends (gasp! ). When they say "Objects In Mirror May Be Closer Than They Appear", they mean a cop car on your tail is only visible when the strobes come on.1 point

docc we need to have a discussion about "style":) You guys are at a disadvantage I'll admit where Elvis in a jumpsuit and Graceland set the standard, but I'm willing to help Ciao1 point

Love the car (Healey 100/4 or is it a 3000?) hate the mirrors. If I had one of those the mirrors would be tossed. My dream is to build a Cobra replica(a sixties car). You dont see anyone using "wing" mirrors on them. Ciao1 point

That's great riding weather. (if my Fahrenheit conversion is accurate) I'd love to make that ride.1 point

although, on the pipe wrap thang: I had my kwakker headers all wrapped, and was most pleased with the funky look! But later, upon removal, was greeted with an absolutely dreadful cancerous wodge of metal beneath... like i’ve not seen metal in such a poor condition...1 point

The U-joint phasing is critical; that is, the front and rear yokes must be in perfect alignment. Assembling a spline off will eventually kill the joints or gears, unless it shakes your seat off first. That said, if the spline count is even, you can align them at 0* or at 180* with no difference- except that if you put the front zerk up and the rear zerk down, you can grease both zerks without turning the wheel in between.1 point

DanNC's final map was DannyP-Mod12.bin He went through a number of revisions. I am not familiar with CaliforniaVintage-FU2-F6E3.2016.07.28" & "CaliforniaVintage-FU2-4979.2016.06.21. Please tell me what you know about them and send them to me if possible. Valves are set to .15 and .2 Exhaust and crossover are stock. Intake has airbox removed but still utilizes the velocity stacks that went from the throttle bodies into the airbox with UNI filters on them. TPS is at .157V base setting Trim is at +31 point

What sort of democracy can it be where it's official police procedure, taught at police schools, to kneele on a man's neck? On a man's neck who's hands are already tied up on his back and who's laying face down on the floor? And what sort of democracy can it be where the jurisdiction needs more then a week, if they ever will some day at all, to even react when people get killed by something like that? A policeman kills a citizen while three of his colleagues hold back the crowd so that the officer can eventually finish his job? And this for over 8 minutes? Enough time to smoke three cigarettes? I don't get it.1 point

I can't answer that but I found one used last year and can say they are very nice. A bit lop sided viewed from the rear but it's a lop sided rear end isn't it. Fits close to the tire, nice CF, and plenty stiff.1 point

I'll be watching this thread. These kind of topics easily get out of hand and please keep in mind this is an international BIKE forum with views on every side of the political spectrum (and further), so please be respectful.1 point

Why? Because they keep getting away with it, hence protests. You might say failure of the police to police themselves.1 point

Two Guzzi affiliated rider boards, one on the left and the other on the right. Too extreme and soulless for me. Since it's been years, I suppose the current participants can provide a much more accurate view than mine.1 point

Interesting debate going on in Cheese. Dunno why some see any positives in any of it. My greatest fear is that it could be an excuse to, if not impose martial law, at least legitimise the suspension of habeous corpus which seems to be at least part of what is occurring in the US. I truly fear what is going on there now. Take care. All of you over there.1 point

Well, I never understood why they were called "pork chops" when their profile much more closely approximates lamb chops, but they look nothing like "stilettos" so I'm sticking w/ pork chops so folks here will know what I'm talking about...1 point

Well now there's more. I changed out the plugs on the 'vette and half of them had burned the bottom electrode off. No wonder I felt an ignition skip when I was in high gear. These are supposed to be 100k miles with only 75k on them. The replacement plugs were a different part number. Advance Auto parts says the old part DOES NOT fit my car. <shrug> I am very tempted to post WTF. (just joking)0 points
