If there's one thing a Guzzi or any big air cooled V twin doesn't need it's something impeding airflow to the cylinders, let alone the hottest area of the cylinders. Do people not rationalise this stuff before going ahead with something like this? Apart from that it looks Shite in my opinion, but thats to be expected from someone that runs the Quad-D tin can and, Ahem, bar end mirrors:) He's achieved the trifecta of bad taste here. Ciao

The factory settings are .1 and .15 and most run .15 and .2 which is within reason. Running .25 on the inlet is +150% of the factory specs. It's all very well talking about CO readings and how well it runs but I'm also concerned about mechanical issues as well and I doubt Meinolf has done a 120,000 miles with these valve settings. It's like tuning a race engine, a lot of the time you need to sacrifice the last few % of performance to aid rideability and reliability. Ciao

So, the take-a-way is: 1. Change your oil. 2. Use a filter. Seems simple enough. So why does the Ford/Chevy debate always rage on? Ordered the metal gaskets, 2 Hiflo filters and the double secret key to the mysterious door in the sump which holds the filter. All from MG, as I'm sure they can use the business. Even though the filter is enclosed, I am reminded of Cycle Magazine's comments in their test of the original 850 LeMans. "18 bolts and a glass of Perrier" to access the filter - what? No San Pellegrino?

I had everything except his valve clearances. 157 mv TPS, new plugs, fresh carb balance, bypass screws closed.

Hello..based on my observation If you go the LED bulb route, the Phillips Ultinons seem to be the preferred route, albeit the most expensive on the market. The LED light source is designed to match the filament location of the halogen bulbs, complete with the low beam shroud for a stock like cutoff. The creator is a fellow named Jacopo Tarquini from Grosseto Italy. He won't be making more. The lowers are from a LeMans fairing. The "windshield' is for a Laverda SFC. I've decided that I like it. I'd like to see it in person to get a better idea of the proportions. Checking temps would be interesting.

Oh, boy.. an oil filter thread. You literally couldn't give me an UFI. There have been many manufacturing QC "difficulties" over the years. Bad gaskets, leaking at the seam, and poor paint prep. I'm *pretty* sure that a run of bad gaskets caused the whole "hose clamp" fiasco. Guzzi delivered bikes with the Bosch 3330 for a while during one of UFIs screw ups. The made in Mexico Frams used to be crap. Dunno any more.

Why my question ? Had my 2 ECU's loaded with Meinolf's latest mapping, by him. Did a few rounds with tuning on my Rosso Corsa, and she is running Very good. Did the same tuning on my Greenie ( quite a few times ), idling perfect and Very strong after 3000. Did buy a new Carb tune,, much better than my Twin Max. BUT from idling up to 3000, she is not happy with the right cyl. So what you are experiencing, had me wondering,, ( again ). I'm quite sure my tuning is on course,, so coud it be the mapping ? I have a brand new TI ECU, so will try that one, when the weather permits. Will report back after the test Cheers tom.

Just watched a Youtube comparo between some filters and the Hiflow came out well compared to a K&N a Wix and a Fram for what thats worth. Pretty basic comparo I must admit. Ciao

Ones a black colour and ones white? Not really sure to be honest. I read a lot about car oil filters a few years ago and have an opinion there but not the bike ones. Maybe I should do some research as I'm about to change out my filter on the new engine from a UFI to a HiFlo. Ciao

It doesn't matter they fit the V11. My 2 valve motor has 1100 Griso valve covers. Ciao

Yes, they're the ones. They'll work with any squarefin. No, Valpolini may not make them but they were the first supplier to carry them AFAIK and quite likely suggested that whoever makes them make them. I know them ad Valpolini gaskets because that's where they were originally purchased from by the Oz importer.

The problem is found and resolved. Everything turned out to be very banal: the TPS sensor died. I checked all the relays, sensor resistances, ignition coils and all harness connections, grounding, fuses, and only at the end I decided to check the TPS. You may ask: "why I did not check it first"? Last year I had a very similar problem and then I ordered a new PF3C sensor. As it turned out then, it was a wire to the relay, and I left this new TPS. And I did not expect that he will serve me less than a year, I traveled on it for about 4,000 km. He returned his old PF4C sensor from Harley and everything is great again! In fact, I thought that I would sell it to hell and buy a Japanese motorcycle. He got scared and earned
