  2. Mark of Moto Guzzi Classics in Long Beach / Signal Hill, CA, has just posted a bunch of bikes on the local CL. Lots of cool pics of vintage MG’s: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=moto+guzzi&sort=rel I took a look at the Cal/Cafe Racer conversion and the 850T last time I was there. Both are very nice. The 850T was a trip for me as that is the model I had back in the day, the one that infected me with Guzzi Fever. Mark does great restorations and is a great guy!

  6. Thank you all, they replied and sorted things out. Plain old human/robot error I suppose.

  7. I use Imgur only because if they went anywhere the 14 trillion cat memes on the internet would go away. And we know thats not happening. The internet runs on two things, cat memes and porn.

  9. I have a WP shock off a Centauro with 37k if anyone interested.

  10. I am pretty sure I still have our original shock with the cracked eyelet sitting around. And I believe docc is right, it was the lower eyelet that would crack. My Daytona has a really nice WP shock, with a remote preload adjuster and all, that came stock on it. But the stock shock for the V11 was a Sachs shock as mentioned, it wasn't a very good shock and it has a very bad habit if the lower eyelet cracking. If Guzzi were a bigger company like Honda the shock probably would have been a recall, the failure rate is kinda high.

  12. I use CRGs on my Scura. 3" mirrors. They work well. It was tough though to get them from stop spinning. A little silicone and a washer worked pretty well.

  13. If it's not leaking, measure the sag, and on the road,, SHE will tell you things tru riding, you have the aerea to it Yes I do like the Øhlins suspension on my Corsa, but still not ready for Wilbers on my Greenie. Just my own idea. Always nice to upgrade, Morten Magers Wilber business in Konsmo is taken care of by his son, I heard. Have some experience with Wilbers,, exelent product for the money. Cheers tom.

  14. Because they stick out more and are lower, I'm thinking they would hit the ground easier with severe lean angles in turns.

  15. I agree 100%, which was my experience with fitting the Buell pegs from a decade ago. I made "extenders" for the shift and brake barrels/pegs, but it still felt odd. So I'm taking them off. I'll probably give the Motratech kit a try, and if that fails just go back to stock. I've seen a number of these types of lowering pegs, and many look to be very well made, but the same problem presents itself. For riders who find this pigeon toe scenario undesirable, you are only left with a few options: 1) Live with the stock pegs, which really aren't THAT bad honestly. It's no R1 2) Find some used Centauro controls, although I've not personally tested this. 3) Find some NOS Motratech controls, but he's retired 4) Someone design a different solution that slightly lowers the pegs but keeps them in tight to the bike.

  17. So far as mirrors go, the Lane Splitters were worn out, the little springing mechanism gave out and the mirrors would blow back against the wind at speed. Typical of those mirrors. So I found some mirrors on EBay. They were about $25 (Guzzi content) and made from aluminum. Had a great style like $150 Rizoma mirrors, the glass has a little blue tint. They look and work great. (Much better than what Ducati calls as mirrors).

  18. This might be the cheapest and easiest way to wake up those cagers. I picked this up off eBay. The last one I got from superbrightleds was twice as much and not as bright. https://www.ebay.com/itm/291936498074 docc edit/ link update 4/2022: https://www.ebay.com/itm/331016499391?epid=1559123411&hash=item4d121ef0bf:g:3EgAAOSwhedhk~FI https://youtu.be/jIn2g3c38PI Crap this is bright. No way some half-awake-haven't-had-my-coffee driver is going to miss this. Love it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
