  1. The dealer charged it before I picked it up so who knows what procedure they used . I got a couple of rides in this weekend and it performed flawlessly . Just checked it and it's at 13.0 v . It was 12.84 before I left . So far so good . Thanks guys!

  2. My bike's in same situation, she's tired of takedown/reassembly and wants some ride time. Now, coils due Tuesday from MGG Cycle so tanks coming off off again. Still gonna be there, just may have to bring a backup ride so I'm not left watching

  3. You loan your tool to someone and they blip the throttle ( 8k) and your mercury disappears !

  4. First things first . With KOEO and the oil pressure switch unplugged , the wire should have battery voltage . You have a good circuit . 12v . If it does go to the next step . When you ground the wire at the oil pressure switch with the KOEO the light should be on . Y or N ?

  5. My bad. Well, here goes some experimentation.

  6. No frame ground from the factory. The light grounds through the switch to the engine. What about cleaning and treating the connectors with Caig DeOxit and resecuring them?

  7. Well, the socket is getting power, test light illuminated with key turned on, and went off when key went off. Has to be something messed up in the socket base. Bulb does seem loose when inserted.

  8. Ok, so replaced the oil pressure warning light bulb, and still does not illuminate when key is turned on. Disassembled the ignition module and connections look good at both ends. Regarding the occasional starter not engaging, I'll check the starter button next, but that issue may have been solved at the relay. Hard to tell right now as it only seems to happen when the engine is hot. So far engages the starter 100% of time when cold. But the oil light remains a mystery. Once I have the ignition back together I'll try a test light in the base of that socket (yup, should've done that first [emoji848]).

  9. Thanks. I will try to confirm the parts are the same. The Centauro appears to have been made 96-98, but maybe the same.

  10. "Pre-production" . . . I like that! This just appeared in a tool roll on a salvage bike. Not sure what it is. It was slipped in the little pocket of the tool roll, so looked like "it belongs." Kinda reminds me of a float adjustment tool, but not entirely. And there is no saying it is actually for the K75 it came with. Could have been for the guy's Coleman camp stove!

  11. The Triumph 900 mufflers I used were too quiet so I drilld out the baffles with a hole saw. I silenziatori Triumph 900 che ho usato erano troppo silenziosi, quindi ho forato i deflettori con una sega a tazza. I found how that is done on this Triumph forum... Ho scoperto come si fa su questo forum Triumph ... https://www.triumphrat.net/

  12. Benvenuto nel forum V11Transema I think the only issues would be the pipe joint diameters and hanger location. Penso che gli unici problemi sarebbero i diametri dei giunti dei tubi e la posizione del gancio. cc are similar so I don't think flow and back pressure is an issue. cc sono simili quindi non credo che il flusso e la contropressione siano un problema. the factory v11 mufflers are fairly restrictive. the Triumph ones should work fine. can you post a picture of one? i silenziatori di fabbrica v11 sono abbastanza restrittivi. quelli Triumph dovrebbero funzionare bene. puoi postare una foto di uno?

  14. I took the tank from the V11 and there's is no sign of trouble, unfortunatly i can't start it whitout the gastank. But when i disconnect the 12-way connector there's no dashboard light, but as far as i can tell everthing is the same. Also bij disconnecting the 10-way connector. when i disconnect the 5-way (the right controles) the ignition switch works again like it should. I can follow you, with the black/red wire and it is consistand whith disconnecting the 5way connector. I can't follow why this wire or relay remains energized. I try to follow you in you solution. With wire's i should disconnect en connect? Kind regards

  15. Usually they arrive about 50% (~12.50 volts) and should be "conditioned" prior to installation. Even a PC545 showing up 100% (12.84v), I would discharge it with a light bulb or such and monitor where the voltage stabilizes after 2-3 minutes, then after it fully recovers with no load (probably minutes to an hour). If below 12.65v, apply 6 amps minimum until it reaches 15.0 volts maximum.

  16. Why would you idle for 7-8 minutes, I bet the reg was not the only thing that got really hot.

  17. Solid! I'll share that with my buddy. He's coming to the South'n SpineRaid. Maybe we'll pass around the little flat thingy and let folks speculate . . .

  19. Thanks, Weegie, very helpful. The assembly was previously ty-wrapped behind the headlight bucket. With a jumper, I think I can incorporate everything inside the headlight shell, there's plenty of space. The blinkers are operational for brief periods, so I don't think too much heat and the LED headlight bulb does not give off much. I did replace the flasher relay with an electronic unit a when I first got the bike which solved the rapid flash problem. Don't know if the addition of the resistors by the PO was to curtail the 4-way flash affliction, but they were obviously okay with the rapid flashing which rendered them ineffectual. I appreciate your time and patience in responding.

  20. Both Italian? I fired up my Ducati yesterday. It's eerily smooth although it sounds like it should shake. There is a big difference between the 90 and the 45. My brother is selling the V11 Sport (it's on eBay) as he prefers his Ducati. Having ridden his I can see the appeal. Revs to the moon and feels a lot lighter. But I'll stay with the Guzzi because it's a little rough and pudgy, like me.

  21. About a week out and I see I started the Sport's shakedown three months ago and have ridden it over 2700 miles. About as ready as it can possibly be and properly separated from the Waddington Effect (unwanted outcomes from my messing with it ). I told a buddy that if I didn't saddle up and head out next week she would probably sprout a cortex and leave without me! SpineRaiders are looking to number 10-14 for this S'xteenth South'n. Y'all ride well, ya hear?
