  3. Thanks Chuck,, it's a great place for riding, not to many cages to see in my pictures, and the curbs can even be interesting doing 80km on the roads I usually ride on. Just a few 4lane hways up here, but those are only fun when you are stretching the rods = Autobahn is in Norway 17000km this summer, not going any place. Cheers tom.

  4. Being here has made me realize how many of us V11 devotees hail from The Land of Oz. That seems really cool and interesting. Not that it’s a totally obscure place, but with our riders from the states, and a good bunch from the UK and the EU, Australia seems pretty well represented here as well. I’ve never had the pleasure of being there, nor do I know much about the place other than reading Bruce Chatwin’s book, “The Songlines”, which has nothing to do with motorcycles. There must be something about the place that fosters motorbike riding, as evidenced by our good brothers, and I hope sisters, from Australia. I imagine a lot of wide open roads and big sky and space, but really I know nothing.

  5. I am placing my V11 Greenie up for sale. This bike is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It currently has right under 12k miles. The updated parts on the bike: Termi exhaust with the Moto Guzzi race ecu installed. Seat redone with added foam and sorted much more comfortable Converted to LSL superbike bars New fork seals and Race Tech .095 springs - fork oil replaced 1" Buell peg conversion Aprilia sport mirrors and bar ends Transmission mount installed Puig windshield installed Superwhite headlight bulb New rear caliper and rotor - was warped when I bought the bike All fluids changed - spline lube and driveshaft greased Bike runs great and is ready to go! I have a Stelvio, Griso and 1100 sport. I selling to buy a 650 dual sport that I can do some more off road with that is lighter than the Stelvio.

  6. I ended up buying a lower kit from Ebay and had the same issue about the pigeon toe shifting. So, though not the best solution, it seems to work. I got a M6 coupler and a longer M6 bolt and threaded it for each side.

  7. Count me in!! Me..............all the gear and no idea. If I wasn't so dammed old and had other shit to do I'd be building a Guareschi as well and it still might happen. Of course throwing my aging corpse into the saddle might be another issue

  11. Well, I don't think anyone here thinks any motorcycle is actually useful. Abject silliness is what it is all about.. and there are many in SoCal that will pony up their pocket change for something like this. I, too, have seen Todd's work.. and it is first class. Is it for me? No. Make that Hell No.

  12. This! As I spend an awful lot of time saying about the CARC bikes in general, love them for what they are. Not what they're not! You can make a superb 'Road' bike out of a Griso but even if you could get it to make 130hp, which you can't, it would still be utterly uncompetitive as a track tool. And before people start bleating at me that they've seen Dyno charts showing preposterous claimed power outputs I can assure you that having built a couple of 1400 Hi-Cams now and had Mark log build maps for them there are several things about these 'Super Hi-Cams' that just don't cut the mustard. You want to understand? Sit down with me one day and I'll go through it but I'm not going to waste my time 'splainin' it on the internets because people will still believe in the unicorns because that's what people want! Some of them anyway.....

  14. This is the Moto Guzzi V11 forum, right? That thing is about as far from a V11 as one can get, even outside what a transverse, air cooled, 90 degree twin should be subjected to, meaning Piaggio will likely sign up the creator for their MG design team. Then again, after their MGX-21 Flying Fartstress, there's no where to go but up.

  16. Yeah, Morrison. It's a surprise to hear that from an American TBH, I'm more used to hearing our leaders described as raging socialists. Even our conservatives like Morrison.

  17. Who are you to talk? You're not even American. Far better than that fascistic clown running Australia. Morrison? Ran out of anything to say so you try to attack American politics? Seriously? 🤣
