  1. Shiny one would be fine too but it wouldn't stay that way long. wow thats twice in a row now, but with different methods . If I can do it again tomorrow 80 cx , I will pass on my magic secrets. Think go to view on pic file, then go to display and do content instead of icons, then right click, click on edit, and hey presto it says resize. Then you do that and it disappears off into the ether, and you spend ten minutes finding where its gone.

  3. Nope, I've had 2 taps jam up and I don't use ethanol fuel. Nitrile seals aren't totally unaffected by gasoline. The swelling can be ok in the instance of a confined static seal in a fuel system where the seal swell can actually help sealing but in a dynamic situation they are hopeless. Ciao

  4. on a roll now, so for 80 cx and anyone else, go to the file with pics on it, go to view, click on content. click on relevant pic, right click on it to bring up menu, click on edit, which takes me automatically on to paint click on resize, click on pixels, and redo the 2640 or whatever to 500,then save. Hmm. If I hang around here much longer I will be building helicopters out of the scrap pile. Speedo reading actually about 60 miles low, cos it magically stopped working just as I blew past unmarked state trooper doing 90 so extra miles was slow ride home the back way.

  5. One word of advice if you are using the later, final model, rocker covers, either Griso/Sport or Breva/Norge/Bellagio. Do not even bother trying to use the older type gaskets. For some reason, I have no idea why, these invariably split and get pushed out from between the cover and the head. While there doesn't seem to be any fathomable reason for this behaviour, the mating surfaces are identical, the fasteners are in the same place, it's just "One of those things"! Purchase a pair of the Valpollini *Metal* gaskets. They last pretty much forever and won't squeeze out.

  6. It's not just you, I've fiddled with photo shop and all sorts of crap to adjust file size, but no go. Do you have a 10 yr old kid that lives near by? lol

  7. Damn you’re good. Thanks, docc! What are those oil lines for, exactly? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vestigiality

  8. It is a vestigial structure left over from earlier wide sump models that had two oil return lines from the spine frame (one on each side of the spine).

  9. Not so much “V11” as it’s gear...but I’ve always wanted a pair of some bad ass Daytona boots. That now can be scratched off the moto bucket list.... Updates forthcoming...just know I’ve been swamped with work/personal health issues blah blah blah... Happy New Year to everyone!

  10. How? The only solution I'm aware of is to replace the Nitrile O rings with Viton/FKM seals. That's the reason they seize up and get stiff because the std O rings swell like crazy when exposed to fuel. I covered the modification here a while back. Ciao

  11. Fitted new fuel tap. Finally got rid of persistent fuel smell V11 had. It never amounted to a leak. Also solved the problem of fuel tap being stiff to turn. Time will tell if this is a permanent fix.

  12. I can definitely bear witness to that fact! One ruined road boot, one hand cut gasket, several helping hands, a quart of oil, and 12 thousand (two-services) miles later, the Valpollini gaskets work.

  13. No Docc, not at all. One of the nicest bikes I have ever owned, and thats a few. 3 issues tho. Every now and then, a bike comes along that tempts me to ride repatedly beyond my capabilities, and this is one. Also am something of a luddite, and electrickery scares me. lastly, I have a natural talent for patination, and it will look like a 200k wreck within a few thousand miles. Always open to education and personal development, but ability to do either seems to be reducing by the year. Only advertised here tho, and haven't decided what its worth

  15. Hello Simone, There are some BIN files available for the 15M at https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/21701-ecu-bin-maps/ If you cannot download them, send me a personal message, and I will email them to you. I can't find a 15RC BIN, but there are people who may help. See discussions: https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/16359-california-vintage/page/6/&tab=comments#elControls_251108_menu https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/22035-ecu-limited-by-stock-o2/ DD fitted a 15M in place of a 15RC and with Meinolf's BIN, he is very happy with the results. This disabled the lambda sensor. https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/19652-v11-ecu-15rc-vs-15m/ Happy 2021, Marty.
