  6. Unfortunately docc I didn't hear it run. They shipped it from Italy for the parade but had ignition issues with it so I don't think it got on track. At least not when I was there. Bummer really. Ciao

  10. The Guzzi shaft system is only a later rear drive system 1970's onward. Chain was the favoured system pre 70's.

  11. I've got more from the Easter Classic meeting a few years ago at Broadford in Australia. It was flown over from the factory for a few demonstration laps. These are my images so not the usual stuff you would see. I'll post them if anyone is interested.

  12. HA, right? I've never seen that view of The V8. The frame looks like a stand pipe off a sewer line . . .

  13. Yeah, the V8 doesn't look nearly so pretty with its fairing off....

  15. Soooo, pushing some life back in this topic. Did my 2-yearly big maintenance including greasing of the driveshaft and checking the small needle bearing was on the list too. Findings: Bearing pre-cleaning Bearing inner race post-cleaning Bearing post-cleaning (flush with degrease & rag) I've considered cleaning up the inner race even more using scotchbrite/sandpaper, but voted against it for materials loss reasons. I've regreased and remounted the bearing for hopefully another 2years of service. Question: should I expect to change this bearing in two years time? Or should I not expect it to last this long? Also in the same subject/region: I've discovered I have some feeling play in the rose joints of the reaction rod on my bike (the lightened "sport" version of aluminium). I'll most likely have to replace that next year as well...
