If I posted this before I apologize. I tried to search for it. Last year my buddy Mike did a series of interviews at his cul de sac during the pandemic. It was extremely popular and this was one of my contributions.3 points

Finally moving in. I left the wood natural, and taking docc’s good advice for an acid wash, gave it all a scrub with a vinegar/water/soap solution and a final rinse. It still smells like an Easter egg but I feel pretty good about the state of the old wood. I’ll put in some pegboard and bring more stuff in next week, but it’s great to finally have a workable space.2 points

Well sadly things didn't turn out as planned. Greg Trowelled his Griso on pea gravel at the entrance to the Clermont Roadhouse. It was one of those stupid 'Touch the front brake and go down at walking pace' accidents. Griso got a scuffed rocker cover and busted gear lever. Greg rode on in great pain to Emerald but when we got there we had to call the ambulance from the Motel. They hauled him off to A&E and kept him in overnight. Next day x-rays reveal a cracked hip socket in his pelvis! Arse. Peter rode back to Townsville to mount the recovery mission and I pressed on alone. Only problems I've encountered are one vast 'Whoopsie' from subsidence on the Gregory Development Road got the outfit airborne and when it landed it biffed one of the fork legs up through the yoke about an inch! Anyway, fixed that this morning, (And tightened the pinch bolts a bit more! They weren't as tight as I'd of liked.) that fixed that. Only other thing is it's eaten it's rear tyre! It was only about a third worn when I left. Tonight I'm in Dubbo about 1,800km into the trip and it's definitely not legal any more! It would probably get me home but 90% of all punctures occur in the last 10% of tread wear and I don't want to risk that so I'll see if I can hunt down at least a rear but hopefully a pair of hoops tomorrow morning. If I can get some that are made of industrial diamond I'll be fine with that......😆2 points

I feel we should have a Moto Guzzi pledge that we'd sing with a hand over our hearts & a tear rolling down our cheek !2 points

I ordered a few of these today - nicest design I've seen so far. They have 80 other items with this design, from sweatshirts to duvet covers (surprise the wife!): https://www.redbubble.com/i/sticker/Moto-Guzzi-100-Years-by-GuzzistaVikings/69960271.JCQM3?ref=product-title&utm_campaign=2019_orderconfirmation_transactional_en&utm_medium=email&utm_source=RB&utm_term=445676971 point

Cool garage space ! I like the look of all the wood also. Light and plenty of it. whatever your planing double it. I can see an 8' fluorescent mounted against the "front wall" and then 1 on each of the horizontal "rafters" and finally something by the door. I have a 3 car spot and have 10 8'double tubes in it. Neighbors use to rag on me that the sun went down everywhere except my garage1 point

Seems @ctguzzi joined in 2012, but yes: 1st post. Not like he joined yesterday (we see that sometimes . . .) It is interesting the diversity of "for sale" images. The "casual walk around" like this is pretty common. On the other end of the scale are the skilled sellers that take multitudes of detail shots, especially of the various scrapes and dings. Looking forward to this poster returning and perhaps giving us some clarification on this interesting V11 Sport . . .1 point

I've been thinking about how to spin this into something constructive . . . My favorite view of a motorcycle is probably prima del monte (before the mount) - the 3/4 view from the left side, just behind the bike looking forward over its waiting form. The last view of the bike before the rider should be looking only at the road and the path of travel . . . When looking at images of a V11 for sale, I look closely at the close side views of the driveline and chassis. These often reveal changes that have been made that I use to judge condition and the previous owners' intentions.1 point

I had to watch the second video twice. Once to read the English subtitles and again to enjoy their dialect, facial expressions, and obvious passion. If, once upon a time, Dr. John Wittner influenced production Moto Guzzi models, and then Ghezzi & Brian, perhaps this is the season of the Guareschi influenced offering?1 point
