  1. Winkie lights,YES, things like this are quite easy to be pushed away, she is running good, right. Winkie and better charging lamp up front, fed from fuel petcock, fuse 8. And made a small note, whats doing what, YES memory. Will do the upgrade of direct + to starter relay , and better wiring to the starter solenoid on the R C. Thanks K Roy. And titanium bolts for the driveshaft. Cheers Tom. Sent fra min SM-A505FN via Tapatalk

  4. OK, osteoporosis, hypertension, diabetes, suppressed adrenal function, chronic kidney disease, 4cm clot in R outer jugular, immune suppression (just got my final baby shots), cataracts (now gone), two lumbar spine surgeries, knee surgery, two sinus surgeries, chemotherapy induced+diabetes-induced+transplant-induced autonomic peripheral neuropathy (the triple crown!), and possibly the heartbreak of psoriasis. I forget the rest. Oh! The worst of all: Progressive curmudgeonitis. So, if I am times obtuse, I hope you can forgive. While I could not get doctor to prescribe it, I find the V11 to be therapeutic.

  6. They say practice makes perfect.....so I should be getting pretty good at replacing fuses and wiring. Couple weeks ago I go out and my 08 Breva 1200 Sport I purchased to replace my Norge fired right up and I rode it to meet a buddy for breakfast. No issues there or home. The next day I try to start it for a ride and all I hear is the dreaded click from under the seat. Not again!!! Yup another dead starter fuse. Replaced the fuse, bought a Startus Interruptus and installed a heavier gauge wire from the starter relay to the starter solenoid. Turn the key, just touch the go button and she fires right up. All good in Guzzi Land.

  7. No better way to approach that than with a "decent '04 Ballabio!" It occurs to me that, if Piaggio were just rebadging Aprilias (like DeTomaso tried to rebadge Benelli), why would they change any production facilities in Mandello?

  8. "I have bought the last bike of my life"....I'm not sure about that . The second part bothers me "which is quickly winding down" . Let's go over this part ..........

  11. A Mandello cominciano a scaldare i motori...ed anche gli animi! In Mandello the engines are starting to warm up ... And so are the spirits! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=941505593319961&id=261365744253357

  12. I meant to post this yesterday, but let’s just say celebrating got away from me. In fact, I’m glad Kathi’s in Alexandria with some of the grands, as some of the “rest, residue, & remainder” are still painfully with me this afternoon. Anyway, here’s a tailored version of how I spent most of yesterday in an Moto Guzzi centenary celebration … by improving the Moto Grappa. For years, I have wanted to have a concrete pad at the front. I often made fun of visiting Guzzisti who fretted about the gravel approach. But, if the truth must be known from time to time, I, too, screamed in my helmet on short final into the bay when the too-plush gravel made touchdown a bit squirrelly. So, I eventually found a local contractor willing to a small job, tho it sure isn't $mall to me! Anyway, he came today and got it all done. What a grand way to mark Moto Guzzi's 100th. Here are a few pix of that process. Before … During ... "After" Naturally, that deserved christening [you begin to see when my present condition started.]. For those who care — a small and somewhat strange lot — I’ll cobble together and post some pix of the whole interesting-to-me-anyway process for a slideshow. Oh, FWIW, while it still appears as if there is plenty of gravel leading up to that concrete apron, the remainder is about one stone thick above hardpan. I then lifted a few-too-many glasses of grappa and bourbon with folks all over the planet. Buon Anniversario! Bill

  13. Well, no tyres to be had in Dubbo so I rode it home, gently..... Rear tyre is now as bald as a badger's arse but not down to the cords. so much win! It really was a great trip, (Appart from Greg busting himself up!) I really enjoyed it, even though a lot of the road was boring. I'm sure now that I'll enjoy touring on this rig. It gives me a great incentive to actually fix the carburetion properly!

  14. On the bright side, they're contemplating a new model. I'd be more optimistic toward something exciting if they had at least INCLUDED a V11 in their bloody "centenary anniversary image", a supposed evolution of the passion of the marque. FFS, when will the indifference and disrespect of the V11 Sport/LM model end?

  17. If I posted this before I apologize. I tried to search for it. Last year my buddy Mike did a series of interviews at his cul de sac during the pandemic. It was extremely popular and this was one of my contributions.
