There's a limited number of Grimeca rear brake calipers available on ebay, I just received one and it's a perfect fit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/360448341023 These are the ones they produced when Brembo sold the P32 design to them.3 points

I'm still happy with the Shorai battery in my bike. https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/19799-pc545-still-the-way-to-go/&do=findComment&comment=2471073 points

Never owned a Stelvio as I’m not really into dual sport bikes. I prefer road focussed bikes; I’ve got a 8v Griso that I’ve now had for 7 years, and for me the Griso is different enough to a V11 to make me appreciate the qualities of both bikes. I’ve promised myself I will test ride a V85TT this year as my local dealer now has a demonstrator just to see if there’s anything that moves the Guzzi experience on from the CARC bike era, but I’m not too optimistic; for me the various V11’s and Griso are the last of the sporting big block Guzzi’s2 points

Well, it ain't a Honda Zook! I know that can also mean a certain lady of a certain character who has been around the block a few too many times...... The bike’s been around the block a few times, hopefully not too many though, an 850 T who’s been been sleeping for awhile and needs to be woken up. I’m hoping a tank of fresh strong coffee will get her up and out the door.2 points

I'm fascinated by the man who has four variations of the V11. Two ShortFrames, two LongFrames/ Three Sports and a LeMans . . . Care to elaborate, @Guzzimax?1 point

Oh so sorry. I was just relaying a trip I made several years ago on the 4th of July. Yes, I did have dinner at Alice's. The little Mini was a fun drive. I live in Okla City.1 point

Haven't lifted a spanner for the en-biggening of the motor yet but digging around in my 'Mountain of Munt' I did find the Tenni green bodywork and brown seat off one I wrecked out a while back so today I took off the boring black plastics, (except the front mudguard.) and played swapsies. Much better than boring black and baboon's arse red seat!1 point

Waffling bollocks and lies from a Piaggio drone. They just open their mouths and a pyroclastic flow of irrelevant rubbish vomits forth.1 point

This is what Im thinking they'll do.. Basically a combination of MK I or MK IV bodywork on a V7 850 platform and then hotrod the motor for more power. Better fueling and some other bits. Maybe the Ohlins treatment. If you see the V7 Racer disappear you'll know what's up..1 point

“...the most butt ugly fairing.” Pfffft! A Hollywood helmet comparison? Really? Seen worse. (Eg.) Guareschi’ Carc platform Varano effort is laudable and as close to the MGS-01 as the brothers can adaptively get. Of all people they with their racing history should know! Colaninno’s description of the new 2021/22 engine as extraordinary in terms of performance & technology simply sets the bar higher for the new bike. What’s not valid or understandable in that concept? Conceptual discourse in relation to Colaninno’s announcement makes sense but nitpicking over details yet to be revealed can be a bit like can’t see the wood for the trees. What the devil is the point? Open to enlightenment tho... 🥸1 point

Yes, not perfect but real. Over the last week we have heard so many stories about him, yours adds to it. They say Democracy is not perfect but the other systems are worse, perhaps the same could be said of Monarchy.1 point

That Guareschi Faux-mans has the most butt ugly fairing. C'mon, it's Italy. You can do better! Looks like this fellow's helmet painted red and hi-viz.1 point

If you just put a 1400 motor in it won't run due to the different phase sensor/phonic wheel set up. You'd also end up with the weedy little 1400 ports in the heads and spare plugs and plug tunnels necessitating the use of the ugly 1400 rocker covers which on the 1400 are hidden by the vast rocker cover 'Covers'. While some people are saying that the 1400 combustion chamber in the head is larger I don't think it is appreciably. The added. Volume to drop the CR, or keep it acceptable, is done by the machining of the pistons. Cant remember offhand how much bigger the bore is but its substantially larger. The biggest difficulty though is the cooling circuits. The 1200 simply uses a series of cross drilling's around the exhaust valve seats to channel oil to take heat away and the feed goes in the inner side of the head. On the 1400 there are substantial galleries cast into the head similar to the water galleries in a conventional liquid cooled engine. The oil is delivered to a gallery in the barrel and then circulates through those chambers in the head to remove heat and the drain and return system is completely different to the 1200 motor.1 point
