  1. *******UPDATE****** Big thank you for @cycles4fun He supplied me with a Jefferies MyECU to replace the stock one. I decided to stick with Fuel Injection as I don't ride my bike as often as I would like. Carbs can develop problems from sitting for long periods of time. Plus, with this new ECU, I can have a perfect tune and map made for my unique engine. Dynotec uses a proprietary ecu if I am not mistaken, so I think it makes sense to have my own ecu and I can develop the maps here. Ordered all the bits and pieces for fitting the MGS-01 Rear Wheel. Also ordered the complete MGS-01 triple tree and parts. Weird how some things are still available. The Front end is just about finished. Going to go with Sicom Dual Matrix Carbon Ceramic T-Drive custom front and rear brake rotor's. And Brembo GP4-MS Forged Monobloc Aluminum Calipers That should complete the hard parts for the front end. Definitely the pinnacle of the current era. This will all tie in nicely for my vision of the front end. I'm leaning towards a red candy for paint, like how this Pagani is "painted" Have the wheels Cerakote white for that Daytona vibe. Hmmmm.......

  2. Not the orange drink, the wire thing that sticks out and breaks. Or at least mine did. So I whipped up a prototype. It's probably too thin but I'll see how long it lasts.

  3. Bugger, mucked up the text again ! Anyways this was me at the bottom of the garden looking up the street. Checking the weather before we set off on a 3 day long weekend up into the high country. We were lucky in that we only ran into murky crap on the Sunday on the climb up from Mt Beauty and across the plateau and back down to the Blue Duck Inn and back to Omeo. A big part of the Eastern seaboard was hit with MASSIVE rain and flooding not long afterwards, but we managed to avoid the worst of it and got to the Marlo pub on the coast where we had a great afternoon/evening with the locals!! What a hoot. Cheers Guzzler

  4. I WILL say, in case someone comes across this, that some posts about later models may say : you only have to remove 6 screws to remove the rear bodywork is incorrect for earlier models (at least my 2000). For this model there is a 7th screw in the center of the plastic pan guard- it goes up through and holds the tool bag compartment in place as well. There also 2 more screws inside/under the rear guard flap that you may want to remove unless you are able to remove it all at once. for me this was too hard so I separated the parts and all told it was 11 screws to get it all to the point I needed without fear of breaking something. . Not gonna kill you to do 11 screws, but its certainly not 6, at least for the 2000 model.

  5. Ok so here's the big surprise with Wanton Bishops. To me they sound as authentic American swamp blues as it gets. But turns out they're born and raised in Lebanon! Who would have guessed that?! Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk

  6. I haven't had one break, but I've heard of plenty breaking, so I am super-careful with mine and have managed to stash at least one spare away in my box of goodies. When Chuck and I were deep into shift spring engineering and production, we learned that the spring material was bent too tightly for its diameter, which created weak points at the bends - and explained the failures. I suspect these "side stand deployment loops" suffer from the same issue. I think you could have a set bent up by a spring maker with correct radii on the bends. The spring maker I used was willing to make the side stand parts if I would give them specs - but I never pursued it. Count me in as a buyer if somebody decides to do this. I don't think I would buy a pressed metal plate. I am not a big fan of having a sheet metal blade by my left Achilles tendon. Even though I almost always wear good boots. I'd rather have something that would bend or break.

  8. I like the QD exhaust, but I think I will go with the Tubi mufflers I picked up awhile ago. I received my crossover from Agostini Mandello. That was the fastest shipment I've ever had from Europe. Since Mother nature is conspiring to ruin my ability to enjoy a ride today, here are some unboxing pics.

  10. That's an important post. Pretty sure it belongs in the pinned Best Relay thread, not this random thread . . .

  11. I recently got some Omrons from Verical https://www.verical.com/ the onlinecomponents order I placed never arrived- not sure it was their fault but they did not offer a refund or replacement- saying it was too late when I told them the package did not arrive. I was a bit late checking, but I'd been patiently waiting.. or so I thought. Verical showed up quick and seem to work!

  16. Hey , I am a member of i-atn and I had a guy piss me off so bad I wanted to drive about 600 miles and set his house on fire and shoot anyone that came out , I blocked him for a couple of years . Got to reading his responses to help requests and realized he was usually right . He just had an undiluted way of answering . He is now my best friend and I took up for him when he was gonna get barred from the site .
