I test rode the HD Livewire. Had the factory not screwed the pooch, I'd have one in the garage already. Even in the state of tune appropriate for 5'2" second-year Susie to ride, it was quite obviously a restrained beast. This "Age of Ultron" behind the scenes has some serious tire-smoking displays of brutality by the Livewire, unfortunately cut from the movie. The Studio asked HD to take the governors off for their stunt people. It shows.2 points

I wouldn't be to concerned about the mag plug, depends if it's been regularly cleaned when changing the oil. The filter is a UFI I think, 74mm. May as well check the seal and change it out while your there. Big ends OK? Looks like a switch replacement and see how you go. Ciao2 points

They were JIS fasteners rather than Philips. What you needed was a JIS screwdriver and all would have been well. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk2 points

Ok, its been awhile since I have contributed anything here on the forum as I have been distracted with a couple dual purpose bikes. The Breva and LeMans have been running great....until now. Took the LeMans for a ride a couple weeks ago and it ran fine. Went to start it for another ride and got the dreaded click click. Damn, that Odyssey battery was just installed back in 2012. Installed a new P545 and she cranks right over. Now the problem. Went to check everything over and discovered I the following lights DO NOT WORK: No high or low beam head lamp. - No Brake light using either front or rear brakes No Horn, No dash lights for oil pressure, hi-beam, or alternator. Strangely, the daytime running light is illuminated, as well as the license plate and tail light, the turn signals and neutral dash lights. Checked all the fuses and everything is connected there. Have not replaced any of the relays as of yet. Removed tank and checked all connections, everything there is secure also. Open for suggestions, any advice appreciated. Jerry .1 point

Ufi 2328700 Wix 51348 Bosche ST3330 DOUBLE check my numbers! EDIT, definitely double check. I got those others based on cross references I can no longer find. I'm sure I pulled these from here or WG or I wouldn't have purchased. Someone else chime in please. the Bosche and the Wix are certainly made in the same factory as they are identical1 point

Okay, got the pan off. I left the rear oil fitting on as I couldn't get enough swing to loosen the inside nut, the far end of my 19mm wrench was hitting the cement. Pics below. The oil filter is still in place and apparently screwed in tight. Also a shot of the oil pan with residual oil. Can anyone identify the filter, or more to the point, name the correct cap wrench to fit it? I wiped off a lot of the outside oil to see whether I could get a good hand grip on the filter to assess its tightness and unfortunately seemed to wipe away a lot of the print. It is on reasonably tight, so next to check out if it has a double gasket problem. If not, I guess it's on to assess the oil pump? Note the black scunge pictured above was only a small blob that I wiped off the drain plug magnet, the bulk oil doesn't look all that bad (see pics below). Then again, I'm used to my Yamaha WR250F in which the drained oil came out pitch black after only 300 miles of trail riding every time, though a lot of it was likely due to the aluminum clutch plates. The engine had 6k hard trail miles on it when I sold it on and it never needed a valve adjustment. Do V11s run on the other end of the oil color spectrum?1 point

That will never work. Everyone knows we're suspender people . . . *snap* *snap*1 point

[Quick check @JRD, swap Relay #3 (Neutral Relay, the least stressed in the stack) into Position#2 (from the front) and see if all the functions return. (The Neutral Light will still light, but the V11 might not start with the sidestand down with a faulty middle relay.]1 point

to the OP.. if you have never ridden an E bike, don't be so sure you wouldn't like it. I'm as much of a gear head as anyone.. but as Bill says, comma but. There was a sporty Zero at the Ohio rally about 3 years ago available for test rides. I thought, "probably ho hum, but I'll give it a try." It was set on eco, so as soon as I left the campground, I (of course) set it on sport and nailed the throttle. Horry Carp! over 100 ft. lbs of torque instantly available in a Lario sized bike is really addictive. I'd have bought it on the spot if I could have ridden it home. Nope, too far. Battery tech is improving by leaps and bounds, though. I'll bet it won't be too long when that 300 or so mile trip would be doable.1 point

Not strange. All of the missing functions are through Relay #2. The "city light", tail light, tag light and instrument illumination are their own circuit and use no relay.1 point

Fasteners on a Guzzi are nothing, try doing a belt change on a Buell.. I seem to remember at least 13 different tools to do the job.1 point

Bikes in vids all seem very stable running - happy owners. @Kiwi_Roy - please take a look maybe & feel free to give your impressions.1 point

In music, they say an "interval" is the distance between two notes. The smallest interval in Western music is the half step, the largest the whole step. Here is Texas, we prefer to use the "two steps".1 point

I'd love to know the total for all the short ( red ) frames! But it would be interesting to see the breakdown of the colours too. Cheers Guzzler1 point

when one or more of these give up the ghost I'll look for a better solution, maybe just the clock the way Phil did it.1 point
