  1. I left early this am, didn't get a chance to say goodbye to all you fellas. Sorry about that, I didn't want to interrupt the Sat nite Tech session last night and it was too early this am (0630 hrs) to knock on everyone's door. Had a great time, did some really fun, fast riding and will be one of my special memories when I'm too old to ride. Also learned a lot from all. Good times, already looking forward to a go next year. Everyone travel safe!

  2. Yes, she feels at home. 1day today, NOT FOR SALE. NOT much for total original. Duc 900 faring? Original paint tank, sidecover. 17500m. [emoji16] [emoji482] Cheers Tom Sent fra min SM-A525F via Tapatalk

  3. The first time I saw the valve train of a Guzzi, I thought.. "Aircraft engine." The bottom end is .. uh.. sturdy. I'd fly one any time.

  4. Home! Had a lot of fun! Good to meet everyone, and if you are caravaning down the Interstate pulling trailers, Adam is a heck of a Wing Man!

  5. Aircraft spruce are shipping rip off artists. They'll ship for free with a $350 order, though. They wanted $140 to ship a piece of 1/32 X 48 X 48 plywood. I called them and said they could roll it and put it in a cardboard box. Only $46 for that 3 lb. box. What are you gonna do? They pretty much have a monopoly. Fortunately, I can get 4130 tubing in Indy. and ACS can kiss my.. oh never mind..

  6. Congrats Looks great to me, never was one for originality. Why put old original components sourced for cost rather than function, on when something better is available Love the fairing as well, that looks like a superbly fun packaged Happy miles

  8. Perhaps overkill in some cases, but good stuff. Our aging v11’s may benefit from some use of it. I use it on targeted areas where it’s clearly beneficial on lots of my older equipment.

  9. Allen Millyard is a genius. It seems like there's nothing he can't do. I've watched a slew of his videos and can't get enough. My first question to him would be ... where do you find the energy? His lovely wife's cakes no doubt.

  10. If my shipper is to be believed, I'll get to fly my V11 tomorrow...and render my verdict. I'll be sure to wear goggles and a scarf. Science, you know.

  11. I think the Guzzi 2 valve big block sounds like a small block Chevy. The Centauro at full cry sounds like a Can Am Chevy big block. The Aero engine sounds.. uhh.. different than them, but kool.

  12. We're at the Mountain View Cabins, just off the Cherohala. I'll drop in after eating for a looky-loo if the garage isn't overfull.

  13. My protractor also tells me it's not a 90 deg Vtwin either. Probably a 75 or 78 deg V. So balance shaft as well most likely. Ciao

  16. Not seeing any Centy in it. seeing some closer pics there are some nice things from a technological standpoint but it's still butt-ugly. Hopefully they'll do what they did with the CARC bikes and launch the next model that looks prettier in a year or two.

  17. I'll eat crow, it's pretty nice, not over the moon but pretty nice. If they'd come out with it 5 years ago, I might not have purchased my Ducati. I suppose I'm glad they didn't because I love my Duc. I'd still like to ride this one.

  18. I notice they haven't provided any full side on shots on the drive side. It looks like we are back to the old Pogo style shaft drive and "reaction" system is gone as Pete Roper pointed out in a previous post. I'm always suspicious when a particular image perspective is missing. Ciao

  19. Wasn't going to say much for a couple of reasons, mostly because it would be nonsense. BUT, from the side view one can see that the engine/trans has been put on a major diet and paring down. Alt must be driven by a jackshaft? Or tucked in the V. Not a big fan of the "adventure-touring lifestyle". But it does have the frame/suspension for a proper sport-ish bike. I see the cantilevered shock, but have they made the CARC appear even heavier? It looks really slim from the right side. OK, there's the nonsense. It is not only the Japanese who are inscrutable.

  20. They could have incorporated the radiator into the fairing instead of a big black square..

  21. Heh don't put that shit on us, that little dodge was first thought up by the Japanese. Apple are a disgrace and I'd never purchase any of their products. Don't get me wrong they look amazing and apparently work well. It's just a matter of principal that if I can avoid purchasing from a company who will screw over their own customers I will. Take a newer I Phone to replace the battery to a non apple shop and find features on the phone mysteriously stops working after replacement. Circuitry within the battery, is paired to other chips on the phone. So unless Apple replace the battery (at an exhorbitant cost) the phone loses features. Oh and the chip suppliers have a deal that they only supply to Apple. They also had to come clean that when you upgraded to the latest OS on your older Apple phone it became very slow was a deliberate strategy. I'll get ma coat

  22. Considering Harley just released a water cooled bike in a similar vain, it seems like Guzzi is following instead of leading! I do like the swingarm.. that’s a nice touch. Maybe it’s just me, but all these screens and electronics don’t need to be on a motorcycle. You think in 20-30 years time there will a forum dedicated to trying to fix those long out of production and unobtainable parts? People are paying many multiple of thousands to replace ECM’s on 360 Ferrari’s as they are not serviceable. I’ve grown weary of this disposable wave of the future. Just in the last week I had to send the circuit board from my dyer to a specialist to have it repaired. Both my GPS units were also sent in for repair. Now I find out Sunfire is out of business and the subwoofers I have are now very expensive door stops as they are no longer repairing anything. So if you have any working Sunfire speakers etc.. now is the time to get rid of it… I’ll be busy listing my crap on eBay this weekend… I’ll stick to older stuff thank you!

  23. Yes, hope springs eternal. I am sure they will build another worthy successor to carry the LeMans name. It can be Guzzi's flagship halo bike. This machine, though? It's not lighting my fire. I'm sure it's great, but it seems a bit too much of a bland styling exercise and has none of the verve that Guzzi bikes are known for when you look at them. You could throw "HONDA" on the tank, and call it the CX100, and I wouldn't know the difference. Don't give Honda any ideas! EDIT: Okay, it looks a LOT better in motion on film. It looks damn high quality, but the style is a bit interchangeable with so many other bikes (aside from the engine, of course). I have high hopes for the new Guzzis!

  24. You mean at Piaggio? I bet the Moto Guzzi steering is happening at Pantedera, not Mandello del Lario.... I agree with you about the Le Mans; somehow, I am pretty sure they have a Le Mans in the pipe using that engine.

  25. More pictures released. can't be bothered trying to copy them. https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=112212.0 I can't believe they've managed to make something so hideous! The V85 was bad enough. This thing looks like??? I dunno? A grab-bag of every styling disaster from most manufacturers in the last 30 years! What was that awful thing Ducati made? The TL 650? It looks like one of those that's been stuck in a pencil sharpener and sprayed with silage!

  26. You veteran SpineRaiders are such an encouragement to those taking a chance on this. I mean, how sketchy can a plan get: "Not a rally, not an event, no organization, no affiliation, no T-shirt, no plan. Just an *idea* - Yer on yer own, bud." Yet, the enthusiasm and camaraderie are second-to-none!

  29. Let's all hope that whatever they do will not be driven by what they "think" the Americans will buy. What a formula for disaster that has been, historically. Worse, yet, is this latest effort driven by the Chinese/Asian/Indian market? Unknowable from down here in the wrench-trench.

  30. Honestly? That image looks like a ruse. Just a bunch of stitched-together whizzz that has no basis in reality. Sure, sure, maybe Moto Guzzi/Piaggio will actually have something roadworthy in another two or three years? I'm not holding my breath that there even be an EICMA this year.
