Lately... this gorgeous woman’s dusky tones has been repeatedly tonguing my ears. Absolutely bewitchingly perfect! Riding my Scura R on a warm evening feels like she should be named ‘Ketty’.2 points

I ended up putting a 15M ECU in mine so the lambda is not used. Now if someone had a titanium race map for the 15RC I would try and use the lambda again but maybe the race map turns it off anyway. FYI I found the Titanium race map better than the meinolf map for some reason. I am in the middle of comparison on the road this month to try and provide seat of the pants feedback.2 points

Hi, I still get emails asking for the V11 BIN I made available several years ago. I can't find my post with the download links, which don't work anymore anyway, so here's the current download link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e7MMuO6vrUZGFfmkCtL3zsW1qeS6uDgY/view?usp=sharing The base setup, and that's quite important to follow to get the best results, is: - TPS set to 157mV with all mechanical connectors removed and throttle completely closed - Both bypass screws completely closed - CO trim set to 0 - Idle sync with both (if so required) throttle stop screws - Running sync as usual And while we at it, here's the link to the Jackal (works with any California with 15M) BIN. Same base setup as V11, but I recommend a larger valve play of 0,3mm for exhaust and intake. The Jackal BIN is quite recent. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Wb2LXrRrgDI1WO0krnb_GeiAvewbwA1K/view?usp=sharing Cheers Meinolf1 point

I understand that the “Kit Racing Titanio” -labelled ecu which came with the “Titanium” kit was always the 15M with special mapping. For example the rpm limiter was at 8600 when the standard value is 8398 rpm (got this from Meinolf, have not checked myself). Here in my neighbourhood is a (rare) Nero Corsa with the original Guzzi Titanium Kit (Dynoed 86,2 hp/7926 rpm Crank). The software of this “Titanium Ecu” could not be uploaded to a 15RC ecu with the Guzzidiag Writer tool. The Nero Corsa came as new with 15RC and cats. The Titanium kit obviously contained “straight” absobtion type mufflers (made by Mistral I believe) without cats and the 15M ecu with ”race” mapping to go with the new parts on the exhaust.1 point

@Lucky Phil The complete disclosure of their lubricant recipe is to be commanded. One wonders why this is the exception and not the rule. So far, none of the companies I contacted have responded. At least, we know the Motul 7100 5W-40 has 1100 ppm zinc contents, compared to the 1800 ppm of the Penrite MC-4ST 10W-60.1 point

Quick update - after I ordered the .90 springs from Race Tech, I found somewhere online saying the stock springs are .86, so the .90 didn't seem like enough of a difference so I shipped those back and ordered .95s. This took longer than expected (Race Tech lost the springs I sent back and took 2 weeks to find them). Anyways they sent the .95s and I went to fit them last week and they won't work. They're a lot longer than the stock springs and the travel stop on the damper rod was hanging up on the junction between the spring and spacer. I just called Race Tech back and they don't know who suggested the springs I bought, but confirmed that the correct spring for this Marzocchi 43mm fork is their S3827 series spring. They're shipping those out today. I realize this was a terrible explanation of the issue but hopefully the picture helps. On the bottom is the stock spring/spacer, and installed on the top damping unit is the (wrong) Race Tech spring/spacer. You can see how that little collar on the damping rod will be hanging up on the inside of the spring/washer/spacer, especially since the spring they sent is smaller in OD than the stock one and has room to move around inside the fork tube. The new spring they're sending is a larger OD, similar to the stock spring. In the meantime I got a new MShock mounted up in the back so I'm looking forward to getting the front end together again finally, just in time for winter to set in!1 point

Thank you for this reply. Gutsibits writes that they hav 5 used one available (but no shipping to US or Canada). I bought one used one as said before - and found a brand new one in Norway - 375910 (Centauro) . When I get them both - I can see if the sensor are identical and that only the cable connection are different. Rolf1 point

Moto.it revealed a shot of a camouflaged V7 during trial tests, and they hypothesized it may probably be a new iteration of a V7 model. They don't really know what it could be. Here's the link: https://www.moto.it/news/moto-guzzi-una-nuova-v7-foto-spia.html1 point

Looks like a body design with Mandello lines.1 point

Here's one that does and what I use in my Daytona engine. Read the description also. I think on the Penrite sight these some good technical stuff from memory as well. You really need to dig and research more these days than you did 10 years ago. Back then it was all out there. https://penriteoil.com.au/assets/pis_pdfs/MC-4ST 10W-60 (100percent PAO & ESTER) .pdf1 point

A lower W number would be better docc, full Ester base of course. Now your engine is getting a few miles up it may be worth considering a 60 weight. Maybe a 10W-60. I run this in the Daytona engine and many use the 10W-60 in Germany. Ciao1 point

The missing link here in the data sheet is for the V11 is ZDDP (zinc) content for flat tappet engines. Phosphorous and sulphur from memory a a partial substitute but flat tappet oils usually have a minimum 1000ppm of zinc and the other two to help offset the reduction in zinc not replace it. Any oil designed to be kind to a CAT converter isn't going to be kind to flat tappets. Ciao1 point

Look further on that metal tag for the actual month-year build date. All V11 are vastly interesting and curiously rare. “Collect them all!”1 point

I was brass-deep in the restoration of a 1975 RR Camargue. Ugh...4 piston brake calipers, 2 calipers per wheel, cross-linked accumulators for the brake system, etc. Amazingly complex and completely unneccessary. The engine, however, was positively sublime. It was weak by American standards, but once made new you literally couldn't tell if it was running or not with the hood down. Sleeved iron block, aluminum cylinder heads, replaceable aluminum lifter blocks, huge diameter camshaft. I became enlightened about the practice of delivering Man's best effort, as opposed to an economical effort. The burled maple interior was book-matched side to side, and Rolls cataloged every other set of veneer between cars, to facilitate as in our case the replacement of a piece of wood with matching grain. I hated the car but the experience was Religious.1 point

I have been also following the German "mother forum" for GuzziDiag always. Some notes from there: " - you cannot upload the mapping of 15M to 15RC - copying the tables of the 15M into the 15RC is possible, the partially different addresses of the tables and scalars have to be taken into account (I understand that this means, that the copying of a single table from a bin file to another bin file is technically possible inside TunerPro, but the tables are not interchangeable with each other 1:1) - the contexts are much more complex and multi-layered on the 15RC than on the "simple" 15M, the key to understanding lies in the program code " So 15M/15RC mapping not interchangeable. If I remember right, the writer tool does not allow to write "a wrong map" into the ecu ? For example GuzziDiag does not connect, if a wrong ecu (like 15RC instead of 15M) is chosen.1 point

Thanks, Meinolf! I’ll “pin” this (probably in “How to ...”). Is it acceptable to adjust V11 valves to the “world spec” with your map?1 point
