  1. Here's a little preview of one of my favorite roads... I sent you a message with exactly what road this is.

  2. This video makes me thrilled to have my feed through a good sound system. That V11 sounds awesome, @Scud! I feel a little badness enjoying that ride right in front of parked Sport. Kinda like making your dog sit by while you cook and eat a steak. Without so much as tossing him a scrap . . .

  5. There are quite a few small, independent wineries in the area that are worth a visit. It's not Napa Valley quality... but it's also not crowded and overpriced. I like the little family run ones.

  6. I've prescribed myself a ride in the old stompin' grounds of Colorado this summer. Heading out for a wedding end of June near Vail. I bought a one-way ticket to Denver and have left the way back itinerary-less. I'll either rent a bike for a week or.... If I find the right bike, turn it into a fly-and-ride. I'll have a lot of miles to cover in the fly-over states. I've made many trips across I-80 between the front range and PA (by car), but never taken the more southerly route. After a few days of riding in the mountains, I could strike out across the plains, try some different BBQ, see the Arch, then into the Monogahela. A couple months too early to start looking at bikes in CO for the end of June, but why should that stop me? Ideally, the bike would be something with wind protection and cases (or at least mounts). I did see this thing of interest: https://fortcollins.craigslist.org/mcy/d/fort-collins-2007-motto-guzzi-grizo-1100/7445282042.html. '07 Griso, low miles, adult-owned, with screen and cases, aftermarket seat, for $5,400. I know there are lots of threads out there on the 4V vs. 8V and rollerization, which I'd have to look at if we were closer to June. Would you buy an early Griso?

  7. Thanks BB for the recommendation, I have secured a 2019 Triumph T-100 Bonneville for Saturday March 6th from Cycle Visions. I've never ridden one before, so it should be interesting to try out for a nice all day loop around the area. Scud...will shoot you a text the day before to check if you are still free to join depending on plans, I've sketched out a route from the shop up thru UCSD, up to Rancho Bernardo, Rincon, Julian and back wandering around, down to La Jolla or Solana Beach for a late afternoon lunch before returning the moto back. But I'm open to any other fun routes you could recommend! I have no idea how the Bonneville rides in the twisties, so will need to get used to it a bit before leaning it over 60 degrees (Just kidding!). Cheers and thanks to all.

  8. +1 on using overhead straps in addition to any lift from underneath. What with the acceleration due to gravity being such a constant and relentless predator of motorcycles……….

  9. Yes you can I built a frame for better support...but don't try this at home, get some straps or some way to secure it.

  10. Shoot, if all you want is moly to add to regular gear oil, Power Punch is the best value. It's about $10 from MI for a lifetime supply.
