  1. Updated pics Rosso with the MPH riser kit using V10 Centauro throttle cable. All the credit goes to Kale on this install, he also cleaned on the bike quite a bit while waiting for me to source parts. The goal now is to ride these bikes to the Spine Raid Rally in Tellico Plains this summer.

  2. Dropped some parts off at Riggeals this weekend. I took him my matte side panel (to match), my gloss hump, and an OEM hump. Here's the quote: C/F seat hump: Prototyping and mold = $550; each hump = $130. If 6 of us want humps, we're at ~220. If we can get a few more folks involved, we can get the price under $200 per item. Just in case anyone is interested, C/F side covers: Prototyping and mold $710; each unit $110. I didn't ask, so I don't know if the mold for the other side could be easily (cheaply) fabricated (assuming L and R are symmetrical). Possible we could get a discount if there are other parts Guzzisti on the motha of all V11 forums want made in batches (tank chin pad, fenders, etc.) We're looking at 3 months for wait and manufacture. We'd own the molds. I'm in on a seat hump if at least 5 others are on board. If we get that far, I'd need to know weave and finish choices. Likewise, @docc, may be worth putting out an APB calling all C/F parts wanters. Cheers, Frey

  3. no to the Griso bag but I have 2 of the OEM MG strap on bags and I like 'em just fine. Usually strap on bags that have to stretch that far to anchor, have a tough time staying positioned. But, the MG V11 bag has a separate padded supporting base which anchors quite well and with a hole for the gas cap. The padding is on the sides of the base and supports the bag when it's attached. I have used the padded base with my larger Tourmaster bag a time or two when I needed more space. It protects the tank very well. The MG bag itself could be a bit more rugged. I've had one zipper fail.

  4. Marketing hype. Hyperbole and plain old exaggeration are the norms of the day. Perhaps he could explain a time in the last...oh, 100 years or so when Guzzi's were not "scarce."

  6. The website is http://www.riggeals.com/products/custom-work/ Obviously, I'll take a look at the prototype before pulling the trigger. Incidentally, my "humper bumper" has a fibreglass backing. Seems that's a good idea for durability of that part. I didn't get that far with Greg, yet.

  7. I'd be interested in a seat cover but any I'd need to see some examples of the quality of their work. Any chance of some detailed images of the stuff they do? The side covers will need separate moulds for each side. Ciao

  8. Run up to AMS in Dallas and you may like it. They talk bikes, give test rides and won't pressure you buy. They also have very many classic Ducatis on display. I purchased my 939 Supersport from them. Despite looking like a Superbike, it's more comfortable than my V11 Sport.

  11. While I do wish you the best with the sale, @Bbennett, I also want to wish you the very best, personally. Another early Sport original owner and member here since 2004 (18 years !). Best regards, and don't be a stranger!

  12. I have arthritis in both thumbs from wrenching 55 years and doing martial arts for 30 of those and I have broken and re broken my left wrist 2-3 times ( cant remember) from back when I used to race scrambles and motocross.. My Scura with the RAM clutch is like a dream to pull..I can pull it with my little finger if I want to, I've tried it My 2022 Ducati is an extremely light pull as well, plus it came from the factory with a up and down Quick shifter, so about the only time I use the clutch it to put it in 1st from a stop, and sometimes from 1st to second, just to be more gentle to the gearbox. My MG California with the Cable clutch..will give you a workout though....1999 5 speed

  15. This is copied from another place: (EDIT/May 2019): Having had two TPS go bad after 50,000-62,000 miles/ 79.000-100.000 km, it is simple enough to check the TPS when it is hooked up to the DVOM (Digital-Volt-Ohm-Meter) . Switch the DVOM to resistance in the 2000 Ohm range with the key off. Slowly and smoothly open and close the throttle body and observe for a smooth transition of increasing and decreasing resistance from the potentiometer (TPS). If there are jumps and glitches or drops and variations in the resistance, the TPS should be replaced. Be certain to set the DVOM back to > DC voltage < before baselining the TPS in millivolts or you'll think something is terribly wrong! I have both analog and digital multimeters. I would think that the analog version would be better to read. Anyone have tried this? (I will try with both instruments in a week or 2). Rolf
