Never heard of them, but they've been around a while- https://www.dimsport.it/en/ Add-on tuning always gets the side-eye from me.3 points

I got to thinking that once the prototype comes out of the mold, there will be room for others to sign up for the production run. I had also lost track of the current pledges. A scroll back through the thread shows: @FreyZI, @docc, @Lucky Phil, @Joe, @GuzziMoto, @deadpen69, @Tom in Virginia, @Scud = 8 black, and @p6x and @leroysch for 2 in red = 10 in all. (I'm not sure the shipping to the UK for @stewgnu, but my Joe Caruso timing gears are arriving in the US from the heart of England tomorrow and the shipping was painless, taking only a week.)3 points

Yes, and it's another ding dong that coud go bad. It's doable to tune the stock ECU. Cheers Tom2 points

My Joe Caruso timing gears and relieved cam bushing came today, one week shipped from the heart of England. I have never received anything packed this well, or dealt with anyone finer than Joe. The pieces look awesome!2 points

Went to his site. The red will likely match the RC type red body paint easily. The "orange" looks a great match for the RC/NC/RM valve covers as well as the RM body paint. What he's calling yellow (far left) looks really close to Guzzi's zinc chromate, but it's not listed as available at the moment. http://www.riggeals.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Color-Carbon-Samples2.jpg oops, will not paste2 points

I'm in for one. Will give it a spot on the Scura along with all the other CF goodies. I'm kind of hoping it's the fine weave, like you get from Ghezzi Brian. The original CF bits on the Scura have a larger pattern. And totally appreciate you doing this. I've done it with Springs (which I still have a load of) and a short run of 12mm fuel lines (which I will not be doing again, because they are easy to make and I posted a how-to). As for cash - I'd gladly pay in advance if that is helpful.2 points

Correct. Or if not necessarily an "enhancer", then at least a "modifier." The consensus has long been that this is obsolete technology now that we can read and write "maps" to our own ECU.1 point

I do. It came with the bike and I have no idea what it is programmed to or if it is even active. The bike runs great and there's an old engineering saying "If it works, don't F*&^ with it"1 point

I see that the publication that published the MM hoax has formally apologized. That was really bad taste. I'm still on the fence for COTA. I think I only have a couple of days to sign for Ducati Island. Since it's a good ride, I'd like a riding partner but can't find one. I did ride to North Carolina once alone on the Greenie, that was a hardy trip with some great times. By comparison, the Ducati should be a piece of cake.1 point

I am really happy that Aleix Espargaro won on the Aprilia. He has worked so hard on that program. That it is both their first win in MotoGP and his first win an a world championship race makes it even better. Add to that he is now leading the points, wow. The Marquez story was a poor idea of an April fools day joke. It was not a legit story, just an April fools day joke that was in really bad taste. I would not be surprised to see Marquez retire, but that the joke is actually a believable story makes it even worse, not better. As to MotoGP without Marquez, I don't think it has been better racing since they switched to fourstrokes than it is right now. When a tiny little team like Aprilia can win a race and lead the points, anything can happen in MotoGP right now. I am enjoying it, with or without Marquez.1 point

Not only winning but Alex is leading the points. Pretty good race for a guy that had never won on a bike that had never won.1 point

ok. missed that. So it still appears as a cf weave under clear, but red weave instead of black. I didn't know that was a thing. can't wait to see it.1 point

Thanks, all. @footgoose, check this thread back a page or two; I inserted a pic of the red from the fabricator's web page. There's also an orange if anyone wants to try to match orange cylinder head covers. Fabricator's website is riggeals.com. I believe they have pics of the swatches under the "custom" link. Greg was planning to get back to me Monday about the satin finish. If that doesn't turn out to be possible to our satisfaction, I'll think about red for the Tenni, too. We're still operating on estimates. Final pricing TBA. However, estimate for color Kevlar weave +$65.1 point

Officer, in a traffic stop: "The reason I have stopped you is that you were traveling in excess of the posted speed limit." Driver, in the traffic stop, "Officer, I was going the same speed as the rest of the traffic." Officer (preparing the signature form), "Have you ever gone fishing? You can't catch them all . . . Easy to agree. I have a difficult time with relevance. Anyone remember US TransAm road racing? Drivers like Dan Gurney, Parnelli Jones, and AJ Foyt flogging "regular" iron on the weekend that I would be driving (something similarly recognizable) to school on Monday. Yeah, those black marks leaving the school parking lot were mine . . .1 point

The rear shock action just adds to the force of a high side, even with ridged rear suspension a high side would still happen. The only way to control one is to back out of the throttle well before it gets away on you or use the throttle to keep the slide going and either let it lowside OR use power to maintain the slide and ride it out so to speak. Thats a High side ON the gas. MM suffered the more difficult to deal with OFF throttle high side and the only way out of that is to get hard on the gas and ride it out which in the real world would be pretty much impossible. Once it lets go in that scenario you don't have the reaction necessary to get on the throttle and modulate it to ride it out and save it. See how speedway riders ride and what happens the moment they shut the throttle. The bike either straightens up and heads for the fence or high sides them. The process is the same. It's the mental barrier you need to cross to be a speedway rider. The more you're running wide and the fence is coming at you fast the bigger handful of throttle you need to correct the situation. Our seats are Section T15-25, Row 23, Seats 1-4. My darkside tire is a Leao Lion Sport 205/50R-17. I chose it because it is symmetric and has well rounded sides. I have 2 rear wheels and swap back to a moto tire for normal riding. The darkside is for the 2000+ mile, Interstate-10, tire burning ride from Mesa, AZ to Austin and back.0 points
