  1. Probably best to search for a new unit: https://www.stein-dinse.biz/product_info.php?products_id=322555 I was able to change the broken front glass on my 03 Rosso Corsa with that from a sport...now I'm not sure if it would work for your situation. Stock replacements were few even 15 years ago. I remember having to slowly use a dremel with a cut off wheel to remove the glass from the sport headlight. I wanted the clear lens off the sport, I think (this was years ago) that I was able to seal the new lens back on my existing lemans bucket, but the sport unit was trashed in the process of getting the glass. Doing research back then, I believe a early to mid 2000's BMW headlight module could replace the stock unit, but it had fluted glass, unlike the clear lens on the MG. I run a plexiglass cover over my headlight now to ward off rock strikes.

  2. Update on shock and forks. I've never ridden Penske or the like, the only after market shock I've had is a Hyperpro. I believe the M Shock that I installed is equal to or better than the mid line Hyperpro that I had on the 1200 Sport. I had Guzzi Tech revalve and respring forks so motor bike definitely is much more comfortable and handles way better. If you are looking for reasonable suspension upgrades I can recommend both.

  3. If only for the unfortunate pronunciation of Guzzi, and Motocyclette Certifiée non conforme, this is trulya work of art and dedication!

  4. two things, the thicker clutch plate may require a mod like this https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3117 and a longer pushrod. Ciao

  6. I found getting anything near a reliable reading next to impossible, especially with the Roper plate in situ which can catch the dipstick. I followed Phil's advice on my HiCam and Sporti (the V11 broadsump should be the same) and "overfilled" to just below the level of the Roper Plate which you can see by looking through the dipstick hole. This works a treat for me and I have not experienced any problems with pressurization

  8. I ordered directly from Facility in France it was $470 shipped to US. They make a higher quality more expensive version but the basic shock works well for me.

  10. From the ""Customers also purchased" section of that page https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193&products_id=4690 A longer pushrod designed for use with the RAM clutch on 5 speed transmissions. I assume there is a similar pushrod available for 6 speed boxes. Or, as mentioned, you may be able to use a single ball bearing to extend the current pushrod setup. If the clutch is working correctly and has no air in the system, it may be an issue with the pushrod length.

  13. The "spray foot powder" will help solve the mystery. It very well could be more than one source.

  14. There was a gap of 4-6 years between De Tomaso and Ivano Beggio while Moto Guzzi was under holding company management beginning with Finprogetti 1994-96, then Trident Rowan Group '96-'99 or 2000. The exact dates are hard to verify. Curiously, the V11 was developed and released under this management, before Aprilia. Even more curious how the design of the V11 Sport (drawn single handedly, in one night, by Luciano Marabese) was adopted and put into production as Marabese had said he produced the design "unasked for." Apparently, Marabese and Beggio had a close relationship, so I ponder whether Beggio had significant influence at Moto Guzzi before he took over in 2000.

  16. Hi Phil, sorry man unfortunately I can’t be much help there, the previous owner had them fitted quite a few years ago- I’m not even sure about how the adjustments work on them! I was going to contact Maxton to see whether they have info that’d be useful for me. Mine could be a bit tired by now, i don’t know, but i’m much lighter that the po so perhaps not an issue? Have to say, with all the various bits of suspension i’ve tried over the years on the v11, the best return for me has been making sure the tyre pressures were bob on!
