  1. I managed to remove all four injector screws, and only buggered the head of one. Fortunately it was after I had already backed it out a few turns so I managed to cut the head off, remove the injector, then remove it the remainder of the way with pliers. Yesterday, I bought new 5mmx40mm screws. I bought both counter-sunk heads, but also a set of the knurled style allen bolts. I think I may go with those as they seat nicely, and still expose enough head to use pliers should they get stuck again. Hopefully I'll be riding this bike enough, there will be no need to ever remove them again!

  2. @ScudRequesting a Super Spring for my Scura. Scouring the topics and posts for other necessities before attempting to correct the issue. Issue: Shifter drops below 1st and won't come back up through neutral. Shifts through 3rd are fine, but falls out of 5th to 4th. Can't grab any gear other than 4th (?) at this point.

  3. I almost hate to resurrect this thread after it's been laid to rest but. If you're interested in temperature what about using the head temp sensor and a digital gauge. Guzzi-dia. gets its information from it along with the computer it would seem to be a less expensive route. Never heard of anyone doing it sounds like a less complicated way to go about it. When I got my Lemans I wanted to use it to commute. From time to time with traffic congestion I'm not sure at what point I should pull over and let the bike cool. As the bike gets really, really hot it has its own sounds and smells but, good science is good data. I don't want to take the temper out of my piston rings.

  4. That would be 14 (plus any multiples). Pretty sure this is another very busy time of year for @FreyZI, so just happy to wait patiently . . . .

  6. I am still in. And I am not in a hurry. It is a want for me, not a need. And it isn't like I am ever selling my Guzzi. It will always be there waiting for a cowl.

  7. Yes they used to play at the Original "Lingerie", a tiny dive bar in Santa Monica/ West L.A. area on Pico Blvd near Bundy Ave, along with other struggling Bands, like The Burning Sensations, and "X", in the real early 80's like 81, the first time I saw them, they were Heavy Chicano music, then I think around 83-84 Steve Berlin who had been playing with Top Jimmy and then The Blasters came along and really add'd a lot to their sound ..imo.

  8. I’ll sign up for a glossy black carbon weave hump - if this all succeeds After some gravel corrugated roads riding my hump fell off at high speed when back on the bitumen Lucky to have noticed on filling up at next gas station so retraced my route some 15 kms & found it Guess the new carbon weave job will sort out even better than getting original fixed

  10. Touché. For the OP’s original question, I’d think this sort of thing is more at play than tire pressures and such. All those factors ultimately play into fuel economy, but when it’s off by that much it’s usually a bigger “smoking gun”. Though finding that smoking gun may not be easy. And fwiw on this thread, these days I’m getting about 36-37mpg on Red (v11 lemans), mostly 10-20 mile legs of mixed riding. Around 40mpg when she road trips and stretches her legs to cruise at highway speeds. Ethanol doesn’t noticeably effect my fuel econ, though I avoid it for other reasons.

  11. "Is there a concise correct factory service manual" No. It's an Italian motorcycle. Phil

  12. Frey do not worry. People will be people and do what they have to do. I appreciate any effort in someone trying to do something cool for the community. Several good things have come together for us here from member efforts just like yours. Sometimes they work out, sometimes not. I wouldn't have the patience for your endeavor, so kudos to you for it.

  13. All: Sorry for the delay and for being incommunicado. April and May are always busy months for me, then my kids wrap up school, so lots of other priorities. Now on vacation (hang gliding school with kids) and next week off to Colorado for wedding (I decided instead of renting a car, I'd get a bike, so I have a used sport touring waiting for me to pick up there). Not much free time for Guzzi stuff between all this. Meanwhile, the fabricator had his big show in Vegas, lost his mold maker, and had a TKR. Between him and me, we haven't had a confluence of time to connect at great length. Last I spoke with him, he was planning to work on it last week and see if he could get quality edges with a different technique. I told him I don't need at mold that can be released a thousand times, so let's see what happens. As far as commitments go, there are none. I didn't want to take anyone's money for exactly this reason: the stars not quite aligning and people being pissed at me. It hasn't been a priority for me lately, or the fabricator. It'll be after July 4 by the time I get around to dealing with it, and then I'm at the mercy of the fabricator. I'll update when I know more, hopefully with pics of a sample. But no guarantees this will be soon.

  14. Incidentally, I asked Bruno "Brian" Saturno at G-B if he had any interest in making up the humps, too. He responded that he was happy to continue producing the Trofeo kits and creating a new "evolution" of the Sport Monza kit. He noted that the carbon belly pans, rear fenders, and wave discs are "always available". Cheers, Frey.
