  1. Right. Spending about 70EUR for a small peace of steel is a bit steep. Spending about 70EUR for a shifting improvement of my V11 isn't. Sign me up please:)

  3. Looks like 1 from the picture is doable with a wise grip. Can't see from picture if the other 2 are above the plastic. Cheers Tom.

  4. I've been on a garage organizing kick lately... two things I have seriously considered: 1 - a wall-mounted tire rack for my extra wheel sets and new tires awaiting mounting 2 - one of these groovy motorcycle parking lifts. But then I think, if the bike is up like that, it would get ridden the least, and if it's basically art, why not roll it into the living room? https://www.familyhandyman.com/article/hoist-your-bike-to-make-room-for-your-wheels/

  5. Docc, "Tennessee Plates" is on the John Hiatt record, Slow Turning. Where the kids are banging on the back seat like Charlie Watts. I saw John open for Robt Cray in St Louis 35 years ago.

  7. The "small round threaded nuts" are embedded in the rubber causing expansion to capture the fender part when tightened. So, rather than try to put locking pliers on the metal 'nut', you may do better to grasp the entire rubber/metal unit (I'm sure those fasteners have a name . . . ) Obviously, they may need replacement if forced apart in this way.

  8. So that poor thing may have started life as a Ballabio. But the list of "improvements" seems to include: undersized pods, a V7 tank, removal of fenders, and a custom-fabricated rebar subframe for the seat. Look closely, the damn thing is actually made from welded rebar. Nice Joe Kenny headguards though.

  10. One more, for tonight. "Tennessee Plates" means lots of things to me. And "Brushy Mountain?" I've ridden up 'round there, but was never a "resident" . . .

  11. The Kid came upon a cheap but good tire changer. He texted one of the Wisconsin guys that he could come over for free tire changes. The Wisconsin guy texted back, "does that include the tires?" (guzzi content)

  14. So you can see the pretty gold Ohlins reservoir. IMO the Nero Corsa is even better looking than the Rosso. Maybe you could expand your search to include that - Or a solid red or black LeMans and upgrade the suspension on your own.

  15. I mean, mySport has never run better. I guess I'll install a Genuine / P.Roper MotoModa ® plate "when the time comes." Maybe when the Genuine Joe Caruso® timing gears get mounted. Maybe replace the original valve cover gaskets . . . I am very proud that V11LeMans.com, and @Pressureangle in particular, has honored @pete roper's engineering/design contribution to this community.

  19. ^ very nice. I used to play the hell out of Dire Straits and Mark's solo work. But it's been a while. Time to revisit those timeless classics, including one of my all time favorite songs:

  21. Great bit off kit! Had the pleasure of receiving it just in time ahead of a long trip to Germany and Luxembourg. It held up great and improved the shifting a great deal.
