  1. Winding up a nice Magni Australia 1000 (with good sounding video), what a glorious Moto Guzzi sound, it doesn't get much better than this... https://www.lussoveloce.com/vehicles/moto-guzzi-magni-australia-1000

  2. I saw it already but it's a great video and what a symphony!!! It's also worth looking at his other videos some truly splendid bikes with some background on them including some other Guzzis. I know that bike and its previous owner who had it for a long time. It's in first class condition and the PO is very meticulous in caring for his bikes. It's an Australia 92, with the standard Daytona engine, but that particular engine has been upgraded to a "B" kit, its also got some other goodies including a spacer that incorporates an oil cooler with temp and pressure gauge plus Caruso oil pump with steel oil pump and service shaft gears. There was a later run of Australias made in 98 and they were different in quite a few ways, though you might not notice at first glance

  3. Hello @p6x…still out there! All Ok? Today I completed the required 25 stops to earn the patch for the 2022 tour! It’s been spectacular riding weather these last two weeks so I was able to get a little time off work and knock off many stops! I had previously covered Navasota (with you as well), Texas Sidecar in Donie (I missed getting Lone Star rider at that event!!), Camp Hearne, Lufkin, Terrell, Paris (3 stops), Gladewater (3 stops) and in the last 2 weekends covered Cuero, Buda (Creedmor), stop for BBQ in Lockhart with Galveston Dave, Burnet, Llano, San Saba, Brady, Mason, (Luckenbach…unofficial stop!), Center point, Bandera, Alamo BMW San Antonio, Johnson City, Texas City, Bolivar and Red Roof! What a fun tour!! Will see if I can get Beaumont next weekend! I'm not sure I'll have the time before mid November to make it down to South Padre or the valley, would like to try to get 30 stops, no way this year to get the full 50 however.

  5. Hi Ho Docc, You had to remind me, didn't you. In the past couple of years I've been retired and been working on our house, painting, plumbing re roofing, all the fun stuff you know. I'm almost ashamed to admit to a little over 2600 miles in that time, so I'll diligently work on increasing the numbers as my list of projects is getting shorter. Paul B

  6. I hesitated to stop for a pic on the even-more-remote single lane bridge I took to the north side of the river . . . There was even a new road in the mix today I had never been on to get to that remote single lane bridge. Always a concern about stumbling onto scary company on these backroads . . .

  10. In the Gallery, I noticed @paulnaz was sitting at 90,000 miles two years ago. May be close to the Magical American Hundred Thousand, now ?

  11. Possibly I would buy one. I think I could have been tempted by a CARC LeMans or Daytona. The new V100 could be a nice platform for a retro-styled version of one of those, and that could tempt me. I haven't bought many new bikes, but I did get that Ducati Sport 1000 new in 2006. I couldn't wait to get that thing... and it was glorious on the back roads, but downright miserable getting there. The V11s aren't quite as fast as the Duc, and don't handle quite as well. But as you said, they are fast enough, full of character, and very nice designs. To my eye, the Thruxton R is as good looking as the Norton, and gives the same level of nod to the brand's heritage. But if money is no object...

  12. Even with knowing about the extra 274 miles to make a true and proper 200.000 km, it was cool to see this on the odometer today.
