  1. Always a tricky topic but I wanted to share this interesting test report from Utac Ceram. A rather top end automotive technical service and independent/inpartial under ISO 17025 accreditation (I am not sure if this test was done under the accreditation). https://grippingstories.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/210428_BRIDGESTONE-test-report-Motorcycle-tyre-comparison-V2_ENG2_sub.pdf

  3. Ironically tomorrow I’m going to pick up my Indian Chieftain at Indian Motorcycle of Lexington. Getting some service work done along w installing heated grips.😎The dealer also sells CFmoto & Royal Enfield. Chuck has absolutely inspired me to kick a leg over a 350 Classic & maybe a 650 Interceptor or Himalayan. 🤔

  5. As a "birthday present" (months early) to myself I paid cash for a 2022 Royal Enfield 350 Classic. For putting around suburbia and the work commute it nearly always brings a smile to my face. It makes going "slow' in town entertaining, I haven't found a corner angle too deep, and 83mpg to boot! The Guzzi isn't going anywhere soon, but a turnkey toy in bronze an chrome has been wedged into the now crowded garage....

  6. The bags are off Etsy. $65 delivered from India. (!) Goat skin. Cow would be better of course.. but that isn't going to happen.

  7. It's Halcyon green. Changes color depending on the lighting. Anywhere from green to blue green to black. I like the bronze ones, too.. but I couldn't get one from the local dealer. They have been selling as soon as they come in, (or before) a good thing for the dealer. He's an old Guzzi Guy that took on Royal Enfield a long time ago. I thought at the time, "don't quit your day job" but he has been a dealer ever since and it is now paying off. Good for him.

  8. Must be something in the Indiana water.. here's mine. I test rode one and was smitten. Nice stampings, castings, paint work, fit and finish. Chassis by Harris. Sweet little ohc long stroke engine. Smooth, comfortable.. what's not to like? Oh. Cheap, too. (Guzzi content)

  10. My Sport has passed the 22 year ownership point, nearly 128,000 miles/ 206.000 km Needless to say I have sourced some parts. On another recent thread I listed a few of my current sources and said that I had parts on the way from six of them: MGCycle (Wisconsin, USA), CadreCycle (Ohio, USA), TLM (Teo LaMers, Nederlands), Agostini (Mandello del Lario, Italy), Harpers (Missouri, USA), Stein-Dinse (Germany), "ebay", "Amazon", and so many others . . . Not the least of which are the generous members of this fine V11LeMans.com community. You folks rock! Three or four years ago, a South'n SpineRaider handed me white face, Veglia tachometer and said, "Pretty sure you will find a home for this." Last year it got mounted to a member's LeMans. Several years ago, I got a PM from a member who said he had sold his V11, but wanted to send me his spares pile. I've been handing them out ever since. Recently, I was reminded that AliExpress (Chinese "amazon"?) is a resource, as well. When we find alternative sources for specific parts, please post in @Scud's Encyclopedia of Compatible Parts. Otherwise, I just wish to report that parts, spares, and alternative sources remain available. No V11 should be laid-up for lack of functional parts. Having the Parts Catalog listings/part numbers for your exact application, and knowing how to search specific source sites, along with exactly what to order is, perhaps, the greatest challenge.

  11. Congratulations! And considering our spine frame's rarity and low production numbers, we're lucky to have folks with the passion to carry on.

  15. Since it's really just Mistral at this point with very little competition, their prices are high, but they are well-made. Perhaps consider foregoing the next $1000 iPhone upgrade and get some nice Mistral carbon fiber slip-ons. You won't regret it.
