The waterjet guy called and said the blanks were done, along with the exhaust flanges for the little 3 cylinder radial I'm working on, so rode and picked it up on this really nice fall day. So. I have the blanks and when the weather turns bad (probably next week) I'll run them. If you want one, PM me with your mailing address, and you will be in line for the Shirley no doubt last run of the Lucky Phil Extenders.

I had to disassemble the terminals from my relay board to tighten and DeOxit the terminals to eliminate the intermittent failures and ghosts. Resign yourself to the tedium and you'll be rewarded.

750 RE Interceptor 1967, ALL SHINY, that made a big impression on a 15year old guy . Mother not impressed after seeing my freshly painted closet doors filled with bike pictures,, a 750 Interceptor was at the top. They were made underground, I think, stable temp for better clearances. Were they leaking, yes, a lot, but I still like them . Cheers Tom.

Ferry is crossing the neckar river few miles west from Heidelberg at a quite emblematic spot before the river flows further west into the Rhine.

Same deal with my MZ in a PIle. (tm) Switch gear apart, wires loose everywhere. Sourced a carb because the Distinguished Previous Owner had been in there, too, and broke the float pedestal. DeOxited and hooked everything back up according to the wiring diagram, and it's been good for years.

I bought a vintage bike (26 years old, 16 years ago) for $600. Cheap because it was electrically "dead, and I can't figure it out". I thoroughly dressed every connection as mentioned. Grounds as well. Fired up and runs like new, still.

At the yellow/black wire ? No , frequency only . You would get DC if this were a square wave (pulse width modulation) signal to the tach . IDT this was this the case w/this setup . Or , no I didn't check the alternator output voltage . I can check both of these if I need to .

This is a great thread with the Canadian content. Does anyone know of the recent market in the BC area. I would sure like to land one. The post on which bikes can be brought into Canada is very important. Thanks for that Vancouver.

Yes. Old moisture laden fluid will affect the feel at the lever, and the slave bleeder is easy to get to now.

Resurrecting this thread. Does anyone have a link to the production numbers? Here is my 2003–just got the stock exhaust headers polished!

This bike has only 5,000 miles. There is no noticeable gear wear. But I do think it's worth removing as much rust as possible from the output shaft. I'll remove the rust from the driveshaft too - then use Staburags grease for the splines (that's the recommended lube for BMW K-bike splines, but the Guzzi is assembled dry). The seals all looked good and with such low mileage I decided to leave them in. Just put a little gear oil around the lip when you re-assemble. First time I did this I was really nervous. But I've done three now, and the other two work. Like a lot of things, it's not so hard once you get into it. And a tranny service can be very expensive.

Admire your work. A six-speed V11 tranny is a thing of beauty. I only painted the rear case, because it was peeling badly. How long are you supposed to wait to put oil in? Read the directions on your adhesive. Then put the tranny in and go riding (some other steps required). I swore I was gonna remember to attach the ground cable to the tranny... but I didn't. Shoulda put the cable with all my other stuff on the table. Now I have to pull one of the bolts out and re-torque it over the cable (after scraping the paint off that spot).
