While pursuing the same fix as you are now, back in 2015?, I came across the heater hose fix iirc here on this forum. I used 3/4 id Insulone hose cut into 3 pieces (1 long 2 short) and 2 copper plumbing angles to make the hard bends and create a similar shape to oem. Can't recall what size or degree of bend the copper was. 45 or 90 My set up is still there and still clean and solid 6-7years later. That said,.. heater hose mfg specify "not suitable for fuel or oil". And THAT said, It would appear to me that the oem hose is also not particularly suitable for fuel or oil. Also realize that my bike has done less than 1000mi per year since then, but the gasses have still been a factor and ymmv. I won't be replacing my "fix" till it shows some kind of breakdown. I will pursue something better next time. https://www.daycoaftermarket.com/en/product/insulone-heater-hose/ I probly got mine at NAPA... copper at Lowes I used screw hose clamps (that everyone says not to) cuz I'm a rebel I love Harpers but don't trust it being in stock IN their possession, call to verify.2 points

Thank you, gentleman. Such kind words. I'm fond of saying I am more of a custodian than a "moderator." Just keeping things tidied up and uncluttered as best as I may. I do recall my older brother once telling me (I have no idea if this has any basis in fact) that Merlin, of King Arthur fame, was not a "wizard' at all, but was possessed of a good memory and used it to effect solutions for others throughout his life. So, yeah, I try to remember where others have advised us, often expertly, throughout our forum's history and guide others to, or gather and present, the archival content. In that light, "moderator" seems a bit stifling and "custodian" perhaps a bit underpaid. "Wizard DeLuxe " has a nice ring to it . . .2 points

https://motociclo.com.au/product/tarozzi-clip-ons-high-rise-78/ I can already tell I need to sit up a bit more, especially with a passenger on-board. After some research, these seem like an alternative, mounted under the top triple tree, unlike the stock bars, atop. I realize this would diminish the 2.75" lift. I'll have to measure this distance, to see just how much is lost. and then there is the issue with the lines…1 point

Under the top yoke there are lugs for drilling to accept bar mounts. I drilled mine 10mm dia and fitted Renthal CL003 mounts with 828-50 bars. Needed new throttle and choke cables along with brake and clutch hoses. Electrics stretched.1 point

The more I examine this option, I think I could remove the stock bars, raise the forks through the triple trees about a half-inch (achieving a welcomed slightly faster steering), then mount these Tarrozzi on top on the triple tree, achieving a solid 3" lift. The added bonus, maybe no need for longer lines! After I complete this handle bar mod, I want to fabricate rear foot peg mounts that don't put the passenger's feet tucked under their ass. I think I could easily make a new plate mounted to the same two upper mount points, same muffler mount relationship, then a more forward foot peg mounting location.1 point

I try to mention Docc as often as I can,and I did at the top of my post, but I agree with you,it would be impossible for me to sing his praises and accolades too often or fervently. This place & our bikes wouldn't run as smoothly as they do if it wasn't for Docc, the master craftsman and resident expert of all things V11. For an electrical luddite like myself,Docc's intimate knowledge of the V11,and his patient methodical analysis and eagerness to help us work through problems and gather and organize the right information, and point us in the right direction,is invaluable. The V11s are a new motorcycle mystery to me,it's extremely confidence inspiring, knowing that Docc is there to hold my hand and spoon feed me the right stuff to keep my bike in fine running order. Words can't express my gratitude for Docc's sage guidance.1 point

Adjusted the shifter pedal one more time and took a ride. 45F. Shifted really well, stiffer and crisper.1 point

I worked on a Ford P-up for hours after pulling the fuse , holding it up to the light and it looked PERFECT . Pushed it back into the fuse panel and wasted the afternoon searching for the problem . Came back w/a test light to find out I had no power on the other side of the fuse . Installed a new fuse and problem was cured. There are fuses w/LEDs to indicate a blown fuse . Get them ! They are lifesavers . Just remove the fuse cover and look for a light . When you are looking at a fuse panel w/30 fuses , it narrows things down fast .1 point

Aprilia Mana. 850cc SOHC, single throttlebody, 'L' twin, electronically controlled CVT with three automatic ride modes and one 'False Manual' seven speed mode controlled either by a foot lever or buttons n the left switch cluster. It makes low to mid seventies HP and has an absolutely flat torque curve. Mine, at the time that photo was taken about 12 years ago, had all the factory 'Fruit' on it. The bags, screen, top box etc. we're all expensive Aprilia branded accessories but I was a service agent at the time so I got them. In keeping with my usual practice I've spent money on suspension and brakes. The original forks were awful but a set of fully adjustables off a Gen2 Tuono, revalved and sprung, fixed up the front and the back wears a fully adjustable Hyperpro. Front brakes are 100mm radial Brembos with HH pads in place of the original 80mm no-names. It stops and handles very well! They were made from 2008 to 2014, from 2010 onwards you could get the GT model with a very effective frame mounted fairing. I had one in the US and completed a 14,000 mile tour that was enormous fun on it. A genuine 'Orphan' you can pick them up for next to nothing. They are a superb little motorbike. Very reliable and although there are a couple of big ticket service items, (Belt and valve adjustment.) these have very long intervals. You'll pry mine from my cold dead fingers!1 point

Hey guys. Thank you! I was the 30amp fuse. Though there we no visible signs that it had burnt out, I removed the old one, used WD40 connector cleaner and a toothbrush, put in the new fuse and voila - revving I get over 14v. Thinking the issue was maybe just a dirty connector, I put the old fuse back in and only got just above 12v. So looks like it definitely was the fuse.1 point

With so very few images and next to no description, it can be a challenge to critique an offering like this. Yet, who can resist? Lots to love: original mirrors, fenders, tail/tag light. Original turn signals including the front "width spacers." Those look like original grips! Very clean original exhaust with MG accessory "For Off Road Use Only" round carbon fiber canisters (probably made by Mistral), complete with the riveted tags! Correct color matched MG accessory flyscreen by Stucchi Luigi/Mandello. All four elusive "Eagle badges" appear to be present. The correct, red Champion spark plug caps have the correct, original black band. That the vacuum tap tubing is still present makes me curious if the entire fuel evap system/ charcoal canisters are still in place under the seat. (Along with a bank of original Seimens relays?) Spark 500 (original) battery? Along with the rear rack, there are TEKNO pannier racks (an original MG accessory). Any word if the panniers, themselves come with the sale?1 point

In that case you chinless numpty how about releasing some parts diagrams or a service manual, (Being a completely new design they might even be able to get someone to write it without incorporating inaccurate info about previous models! That would be a first!) Im not the least interested in what it looks like or how it performs. All that is secondary to me. I want to see how it f*cking WORKS!1 point

I've got Vespa 150 and like it a lot. Great running short errands around. I live in the rural setting on the coast, no need to gearing up, no helmet, no insurance...Feels like I am 16 again when I had my very first motorized vehicle also called "wasp" but in Polish ( Polish "Osa" = Italian "Vespa" = English "wasp") Good times...1 point

We had this Vespa 200 for about a year. I thought it was great fun. Piaggio stated the top speed at 72 mph. What they meant was: "Flat out, the speedometer will indicate 72." Turns out this was just shy of 65. Flat out. On these open country roads that is just crash bait. Randy's 500 (4-valve SOHC single) with those tire sizes and great brakes is an awesome package! One of our members had one for quite some time and had some of the wishful sportbike guys checking their mancard at the counter . . .1 point

I'd love a scooter. I hired one in Rome 25 years ago to ride around for a few days 2 up with the wife. It was nothing special as it was a hire scooter maybe 125 at the most and it was great fun. I'd like one for quick trips to the shops for milk etc. Phil1 point

Thanks, but this would not have been possible without Chuck and all the other input on this incredibly long topic. These Chuck-engineered springs give us all the confidence to take longer rides without fear of losing the ability to shift far from home.1 point

Howdy boys... I'll commit to running another batch of springs. Been busy with work lately - lots of travel. But I can get another batch ordered. BTW - I'm gonna need some help with electrickecy soon. My Scura's been parked too long. But today, I'm up in Morro Bay near the start of the Big Sur coastline. Waves are supposed to be 25 feet by Piedras Blanca on Big Sur. Me and Husky 701 are going to brave the wet, rocky, muddy stuff to inspect. Happy Thanksgiving.1 point
