  1. Okay, fronts measure M8 x 1.25 and are 20 mm long. Rears are also M8 x 1.25, with a 20 mm long threaded portion, then a 4.5 mm long shoulder that is 10 mm in diameter. If that jogs anyone’s memory! Easier to just contact Race Ti? I will be forced to buy more titanium if I go that route……….you know, to err, justify the shipping.

  7. Wow! The unicorn 2003 Sport that is NOT a "carryover!" So, they do exist! (Note the long tank with no chin pad and what appear to be black face instruments.)

  8. Hi Chuck, looks like the fourth fuse goes to the ignition through a four connector molex plug. Should be Brown wire. Paul B

  9. Might check the fuel pump. Not sure if it's #4. That's what what happened to the Greenie., it coughed before it died. Kept blowing fuses and blew the spare in a couple of miles. Looking at my bike, I think the diagram shows a 10A for the instruments (front to back)? That doesn't sound right. 4th coming the other way (back to front) is a 15A for the headlights. I have no idea why this is printing red.

  12. Thanks, I got busy on other stuff, the poor beast sits in the heated garage but it’s 11 below zero F outside so I’m not motivated to cross the yard and go out to work on it.. I need to get in the right frame of mind so I can spend some quality time with it soon.

  13. Hallo Chuck. As far as I can tell, you made a run in November, and about 8 of them were spoken for. Are there any left? I would really like to get one (I'm talking about one of the latest last ever Lucky Phil shift extenders of course.) I'll send a PM as soon as I hear that there is still one to be had. Mick

  14. If you are sure you can get them just right, do it. I don't think lowered pegs are that big of a critical issue. For me I don't see a reason to go with lowered pegs, and that is including the fact that my knees are pretty F'd up. The difference between the pegs as they are and the "lowered" pegs is minor. I can't see where having my feet an inch lower would make any difference. And being able to adjust them is also minor. The amount of adjustability in them is very limited. The difference in lost ground clearance is going to be larger than the difference in comfort. But if it is something you want, and you feel those chinese pegs will allow you to get it just right, do it. Personally my motorcycles are my babies, and I avoid putting cheap parts on them. If I am going to upgrade them I do it with high quality parts. I don't try to pinch pennies when it comes to my motorcycles. If I do need an upgraded part, I buy the best quality I can find. Also, having a metal peg with a rubber insert like that seems silly. If the rubber insert isn't covering the metal peg there is no point to it as the vibrations would come through the metal to boot contact. Either have rubber covered pegs or have metal pegs. That half and half idea doesn't make sense to me. But you do you.

  15. Ok, he did mention "new tyres" in the Craigslist ad. Hadn't noticed that... Yes, after so much time there will always be something. If it is in "perfect" condition, it probably has seen too little use for it's own good. If it has been used, it is going to show signs of wear. I don't mean to say "don't buy it", particularly if the price is good. Rather, more or less what you say yourself, the thing is old, and is likely to have some issues, no matter how good it looks from the outside. One should bear that in mind.

  16. No. The dual disc sounds more 'troubled' than the single and a bit louder imo. The aftermarket RAM single plate is somewhat less noisy than the oem single and operates buttery smooth.

  17. The first time I saw a Rosso in person was at a Mid-Ohio AMA SuperBike race circa 04-ish, love at 1st sight. This year I finally bought one, & she’s a keeper.

  18. I'm thinking with the Shift Extender, we will not get the "right angles" but should strive that both the "arms" (the extender and the shift arm on the gearbox) are parallel. Yours look good! Give us a ride report when the temps allow!

  19. What I do is, first, service and adjust/shim the pivot assembly, then position the pedal lever where it will just clear the Frame Side Plate on the downstroke (in every gear as it seems the travel is greater in certain downshifts), then position the gearbox arm on the shaft splines (remove the pinch bolt and pull the arm off to reposition) where the arm is parallel to the shift extender when the lever is in the "relaxed"/ready position. Adjust the connector rod length accordingly.
