  2. While the gearbox is out, good time to address a couple other important areas: First, of course, is to disassemble the clutch to get eyes on the surface of the flywheel to inspect for cracks where it bolts to the crankshaft (image from Scura, c. 2016, crankshaft/forward side): Also, a good time to assess/address the various leak sources in that space:

  3. If you find yourself in NE Tennessee, swing by and we can take mine out, I need a good excuse to drive it more. I wish today's engines were pretty as Busso V6.

  4. @JoeWow, your bike is beautiful, THAT color! The exhaust looks fantastic, makes our stockers looks so HEAVY, in comparison. Congrats! I ran the Mistrals on my V7 for years with DBkillers. Eventually, curiosity got to me and I removed them. They haven't been reinstalled now for over a decade! @MartyNZ great looking Wilbers MonoShock! I have Wilbers on my V7, so fantastically accurate, and infinitely adjustable. I'm too cheap to upgrade my V11 with one, but you got me thinking!

  5. I got a cable made for a V!! from a company in Ca. I am sure they can fix you up w/a inner cable . I will look back through my invoices and see who did it. You will be able to run the new inner through the old casing and install a stop to fix it up. I will let you know what I find .

  6. Indeed. I would have loved to have one at the time, but as a "financially disadvanted" student it was completely out of the question.

  9. I'm off to talk to Vince Burrell about the gearbox who runs Guzzi Cafe near home. I think he only works on pre V11 Guzzis but worth the visit.

  10. Docc, going by that photo, I think you really need to take more care about keeping things clean and orderly when you're working on a bike.

  20. If you could find some universal silencers with the correct diameter, would there be a lot of difficulty getting the bike to run ok? if the worst result was a slight change in hp could that be worth a try? Or would you need to guzzidiag it?
