  2. And I found it is a lot longer than it seems like it is. Interesting bike, but not my cup of tea. I have no use for a bike that big with that small a gas tank. An "around town" bike should be much smaller and nimble.

  3. The Picker 1C for our application has a coil power of 1.5W with a resistance of 96 ohms @ 12V. You got that right! That's an awful lot of ink for a $2.50 part... It all depends how much you value your time, ROI and all that. I'd say, get a baker's dozen, carry a couple of spares under the seat and fuhgeddaboudit And ride the damn bike....

  4. I rode the first year version set up with the Flat Track styled tires on it. It rode OK. The wide bars helped the steering. It was close to my Ducati for engine performance. Yes, it's got a small tank. I think they should've done a Cafe version with a sport touring practicalities and ergos.

  5. So many may know I own an Indian Chieftain and follow the Indian brand as a whole. For the 2023 year Indian has made some styling changes to the 2nd Gen 17' wheel version called fittingly FTR Sport, the result has in my opinion similar styling DNA to our beloved MG V11 Sport. BTW the FTR Sport isn't exactly light at 490lbs and has around 120 horses, so its not a modern super naked, but V11 Sport was never quite a Ducati Monster either in its day weighing in at 482lbs with 91HP . My wife likes it and stated it looks more Italian now, well not quite but definitely an improvement or change to the original dirt racing inspired Flat Track Racer. The white color is called White Lightning possibly a homage to Buell's of the same name . The promotional video has highlights of the Moto America Hooligan class, with KTM 890's, Harley Pan America and the Indian FTR, its American racing series for sure, but fun to watch.

  6. Docc, the fuel is stored under the seat, the “tank” is all airbox, that said you get 3.3-3.4 gallons. With 30 mpg that’s not much range. At least on the V11 we have decent fuel range.

  8. The coil wattage/power on these "Relays of Interest" has ranged from 1.2W to 1.5 to 1.8 (that highest on the NLA OMRON G8HE unicorn relays). Is the difference negligible in our practical application? Unknown. Someone knowledgeable suggested that the higher the coil power, the more tightly the N.O. contact is held (I paraphrase) for a potentially higher amperage contact rating and less chance of "bounce." Given the option, I would choose a higher coil power. That said, I am running a couple 1.2W CIT in the least critical positions (#3/Neutral and #4/ECU). The details and minutiae of this discussion fascinates maybe two or three of us. The rest just want to know what one relay to plug into all five positions and forget about them. Worry more about beer.

  11. Here are the general approximate dimensions of the o-ring. I put the caliper in the groove and it reads about the same too. You'll almost certainly buy an assortment of o-rings. So just find the one in that assortment that fits best.

  12. Yes, 23 is just an o-ring. You can source this at any auto parts store, or of course online. You'll need an o-ring that is specifically resistant to fuel and oil, which is common. BTW, ignore the "blue stuff". That is leftover special fuel resistant sealer I had used many years ago during some tank plumbing experimentation.

  13. After spending all of March away overseas on a combination of business travel & vacation, I managed to ride a V11 for the first time this year today, and a cold but sunny early Spring day. Alas, having parked to get a coffee & some bacon sandwiches 🥪 , we were ambushed by this bunch of scurvy desperados
