Finally zero’ed the CO trim with GuzziDiag. Was set at -40. Runs much better now. First time using GuzziDiag. It’s really useful. Verified engine and air temp sensors were functioning.3 points

I did! Clutchless shifting the last five miles. And I suppose I did run that one stop sign, technically. Just test rode the rebuilt clutch master cylinder.3 points

I bought a sylvania or wagner LED pilot light for the Lemans, the instructions indicated that if it doesn't work reinstall it the other way it would fit into the socket ( for correct polarity purposes).1 point

Saw the Dead & Co at Boulder CO last Sunday. I've got no photos or vids. There must've been 70k people there. The stands were full except for a few no view sections and the field was filled through both end zones. Everyone was extremely polite. Some of the note worthy performances were drums and voice for the first few verses of "Samson and Delilah", and Mikey doing a rap reprise of the 1st verse during "Fire on the Mountain". They played "US Blues" and "Morning Dew". My wife got a bad dose of altitude sickness staying with our friends and 9k ft el. She fainted twice and fell hard both times, out cold. ER checked her out and said her potassium was low. The next morning she dang near fainted again so we took off. Went to Manitou Springs, next stop Taos and home on Thursday.1 point

It sounds like the issue is relatively minor,if simply warming it up & riding it for a while cures it. Is it because air in the line is expanding, giving you fuller motion on the clutch push rod and bleeding might cure it? Is it because surface contamination on the clutch plates is scuffed/burnt off with use & a rinse might cure it? Combination of both or something else completely? gstallons post reminded me of some of the finer details of my slipping clutch cure. After I had done a couple of paint thinner rinses, I took it for a test ride;it was still slipping a little. While the clutch plates were wet from the solvent,I found a quiet back road, and in lower gears, ie,2,3 as I gently rolled on the throttle,I rapidly fanned the clutch many times, 10-15,literally abusing the clutch as much as I could;I repeated that clutch abuse 3-4 more times. That apparently scuffed & cleaned up the surface of the clutch plates enough to cure the problem;it hasn't slipped since. fwiw ymmv1 point

No time or priority these days for Goldie (02 lemans), as Red is (lovely) rider, and greenie is on the bench and needs more focused attention. But i need to run Goldie now and then, and it’s always a problem. Last year she’d start, but ran poorly. Then she wouldn’t start, and i couldn’t hear the fuel pump running, soi finally changed the fuel pump (a few months ago), then the fuel filter (last week), and now the damn starter is just “machine gun” clicking. Good voltage, and the friend i bought it from a few years ago says he replaced the starter not long ago. Will just have to dig in and figure it out. The old girl doesn’t like sitting, as she was rock-solid reliable when i was riding her regularly some years ago, but along came Red, the apple of my eye, and Goldies been just sitting for last few years, and every time i try and start her and run her something else doesn’t work…1 point

5 years/ 17,000 miles/ 27.500 km on this "Vintage Car" LED (my second LED after numerous attempts to enhance the H4). Great Hi- and Lo- beam patterns from the early Sport Bosch steel bucket reflector/lens. Not sure how this may apply the the later V11 plastic bucket . . . https://vintagecarleds.com/shop/bulbs-only/vcm3-bulbs-only/1 point

Thank you very much sir! I seem to do this every time with brakes also. My least favorite part of maintaining these machines. Last year I took my k-bike in and had it done.1 point

BTW, this is the rebuild kit I used. Brembo number: 110436292 I questioned the MG Cycle "rectangular" description and that the V11 is not in the applications list, yet there we have it . . . https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=110_112&products_id=51961 point

I've used Penrite pretty much exclusively for thirty years. If your clutch is slipping it's not the choice of oil. There are a host of possible causes but the oil type isn't one of them.1 point

Yep, i built it. Bought as a 89 Mille GT and made a couple of changes.1 point

Darius is right about the ring prying out (no Dremel required). There is always a measure of satisfaction getting eyes and fingers on the definitive source of trouble. This is the jumble I found the spring in: Four pieces, again:0 points
