  2. Every mod a person does to their bike , is done because of their personal taste , We all have seen mods that look pathetic amd keep our mouth shut . Whew , the V11 is a bike that requires a lot of thinking before adding to / changing things . Little things make a big difference and members here can see changes.

  4. I had that exact same problem a few weeks ago, which I described in another post. Same left side of the engine, and same lack of accessibility for one of the worm clamp. In the picture below, you can see the rubber boot completely off the admission pipe. You need to purchase a radio socket set containing 1/4" extensions and knuckle joints. The screw can be turned either by a flat screwdriver or a metric socket. Try to loosen the screws as much as you can. It is not easy, but with a bit of perseverance, you should be able to get it loose enough so you can rotate the clamp to get the screw more accessible. Use some spray on the clamp itself to help you.

  7. Yep. I was able to loosen the clamps and get it back on. Bike is running better than ever, I'm sure the valve job helped too. Good tip on the radio sockets, will look for those. I will have to learn how to check throttle body balance. Interesting you had exactly the same issue.

  8. I rather like the black CF mud guard Phil. This bike pictured with blacked side body panels and muffler hangers has a good look, and could maybe provide some 'black' balance. Whatever you do your bike will be like a woman who could wear anything and always be beautiful.

  9. I got one of the last 3 that MGCycles offered. Scud, myself, and (forgot who* else) got on a wait list and eventually received them. The GU01211640 hub came with the kit, as seen in the photo. It is the same as the oem in the Tenni. I re-used the original. * might have been @craigsinclair that got the other one? I recall a member doing the 5 speed RAM kit successfully and posting about it. ??

  10. Agreed that is an impressive and interesting project. At first glance, I liked the styling, but on closer look I don't care for the pairing of the angular, faceted tail section with flowing, organic fairing. Personally, for the expense and effort of this project, I'd prefer to have retained the original Sport and the original Griso (but with aftermarket exhaust).

  13. I reinserted the left boot all the way on the left hand cylinder; the adjustable clamp worm screw was the opposite way. In my battle tank days, when using adjustable collars on fuel lines, you would always install them with the worm screw 180 degrees apart to prevent any leak. Mine were not installed this way. In good mechanical practice, one of the worm clamp access screw should be up, the other down in a 180 degrees fashion. I am thinking to replace all the rubber parts of the injection system as soon as I complete my 2023 motorcycle grand tour of Texas, and that driving course that I have kept postponing.

  14. Our plans to ride into north Georgia, Suches (TWOS) and maybe lunch there, or in Ducktown at Rod's Rockin' Rolls looks like good thinking. Remember, there is no "group ride", no Road Captain, no route plan, no:seriously. Take a look at the area, have a ride plan, make friends. "Get There. Bring Tools ." With my best navigator talents, I have to declare the Cherohala a No-Go. Not even to Bald River Falls . . .
