Here's the next V100 which will be presented at the EICMA this year. At least they got rid of the foldable slats. There will be other colors I am certain. I can't tell why, but I am still very fond of the V11 and if I can get more space, I will get a Stelvio but the 1200 NTX, not the V100.4 points

I clean throttle plates/bores on vehicles ALL the time . I get satisfactory results using carb cleaner , toothbrushes , small round wire brushes , small wire brushes , etc. When I was a lot younger I thought I had to remove the throttle plates to get the job done. Not anymore.4 points

Roughly, 20,000 miles – will go up slightly. Great condition overall. Just Serviced within the last 500 miles at The Spare Parts Company – Philadelphia. Original clip-ons replaced with High-end Woodcraft clip-ons and bar end weights. Minor scuff on seat cowl and small Chip in tank – about ¼ inch. Many accessories are available – individual cost to be determined. Guzzi Luggage Rac, Foot peg Lowering kit (3 in forward, 1 in down), Ghezzi-Brian carbon fiber hugger, Tommaselli adjustable clip-ons. $7900 Located in West Orange NJ2 points

Yes, the mechanical part of the parking lock is in the bit that the key-lock is in, on to the bottom of which the switch is screwed. Incidentally, I swapped those two Phillips screw for Allen head screws. On my Le Mans it is close to impossible to get a decent Phillips screwdriver on to them. The short end of an Allen key is much easier. Anyway, the switch for the parking lights is in the ignitiion switch, so cleaning out and servicing the switch will have cleaned up the switch for the parking lights. The mechanical parking lock has no connection with the parking light switch (other than the mechanical connention that makes them both rotate together...) Edit: I've got one lying around in the garage. I'll try and remember to take a photo next time I'm in there...2 points

You don't really need to do this. You must keep the pates in the correct body and orientation upstream to downstream but when you install them you simply shut the throttle shaft hard with the plate loose and tap it a little to set the plate perfectly in the bore then tighten the screws. You need to clean up the screw threads and remove the staking and apply Loctite. I use blue and also mark the heads so I can check them from time to time. Phil1 point

That "park" function is an interesting circuit. With no relay involved, it is like a backup system if the main headlight circuit goes out. We are left with tail light, instrument lighting, and a 4 watt "headlight." Enough for a "limp home" . . .1 point

Ok, just had a look a the circuit diagram and verified what I suspected: the instrument lights, parking light, tail light and number plate light seem to be all on the same 12V feed. So there is no way to turn on the parking lights without the instrument lights.1 point

Not a fan of two wheeled SUVs, but I really like the new drivetrain. If they make a sporty V11 sport style V100 we might have to consider it. But we already have four Guzzi's plus a Ducati and two baby Husky's, not sure at our age we need another.1 point

The triple-turreted insignia looks as if from an older Carabinieri rank "shoulder board," and the eagle is similar to a Mussolini-era Italian military eagle but sans the fasces. Anyway, thank you for adding to my military moto-museum collection!1 point

Pretty much. I did a how to post years ago. It's all pretty straight forward. High points Don't attempt to adjust the main eccentric adjuster on the bike. It's a bench adjustment only despite what people do. The shift returns spring on the stop plate assy can be installed upside down. When installed wrongly the spring arm rubs on the cover The pawl arm over travel stop if adjustable should be .60mm clearance at the minimum point in the travel Fit a scudd needle roller to the detent drum Fit a Chuck spring Check the pawl arm is straight and fine finish the contact faces. To my eye, the lines of the bodywork flow better when the eye picks it up at the very front like the air would flow over whilst the sweet thing rips past a lazy stream in an otherwise quiet wooded hollow on the way to the next banked turn . . .1 point

A few more pieces to the never ending puzzle. Rebuilt 43mm Marzocchi forks. New seals bushes and sliders re chromed and ground. Brembo P4 34/34 calipers, later canted tripple clamps and clipons, clock re located, Ohlins steering damper, Titanium rear axle and nut, bevel housing shroud removed, new PVM 17 X 5.5 and 17 X 3.5 rims and 180 rear tyre, lightened rear brake calliper carrier, new brake lines to suit callipers. Next is to move the mufflers forward 35mm and make some new end caps that are not so long.1 point
