  1. If you load Meinolfs map it's done for you as is the fuel map. His advance is between 21-31 around the same area at 5.2 degrees T/A and 26-29 degrees at 36 degrees T/A @ 3200.That would be my suggestion. It's free to do. Phil

  2. Yeah, someday, I would like to smooth these corners out. Especially that ridiculous ignition advance in the low rpm at low throttle opening . . .

  3. Recipe for ruining handling on a 99 V11. Pay a big chunk and widening rear rim to 6inch, 180/55. Now 170/60, just a tiny test yesterday with no curbs, but yes please. Next summer, glad l got a M better feeling with the bike. Meaning more km before desicion about the front with different rake. My other Greenie, just fun, how brave do you feel today. Cheers Tom. 4. Pedro Acosta could be a threat, although not always do Moto2 and 3 winners make the transition well. Lorenzo commenting on Marquez' obsession with VR46 is rich. Both are dead to me after the 2015 season. I can't believe Dorna didn't condemn those two. As far as I'm concerned VR46 has 10 titles!

  5. Ok, Speedfrog, Joe, Thanks for your replies, that also sounds like a good tip Joe, to order the centauro clutch line. I shall make some enquiries. Regards, Formula Alfa.

  6. There is no limit to the adjustability of the mapping. You can make it anything you like in any region, both fuel and ignition. Phil

  7. That's not strange, Phil. That's their job. They're there to "prove" that the brand that they work for is the absolute best thing ever on the market. That observation is for the most part based on having been involved in the sound installation for a good half a dozen motor show presentations for a German "premium" car manufacturer at various motor shows. Interesting from a sound technician's point of view, but the hurrah involved is somewhat tiring.

  8. I do remember the old one, when I was doing land jobs in Nigeria. It had a tractor kind of diesel engine, max speed 70 or 80 km/h, no air conditioning, no power steering... after a day of driving in the bush during the rainy season, you had forearms like Schwarzy, and a back side full of blisters. But they were virtually indestructible and very reliable. Then Toyota came up with the Land Cruiser.

  9. Land Rover still has a "Defender". It is not like it used to be, the current version being all swanky and complicated while the old one was rugged and stone axe simple. But it is still a name in use by them.
