  1. The perfect annular view was only possible from San Antonio TX.... The photo below shows the sun rays shadowed by the moon as they reflect on the ground. Really amazing!

  2. The add says USD 3100, possibly a price adjustment from when you found the add initially... even at 3100 it is more than palatable. There is a 2013 Stelvio in Denver for USD 6000, orange so I could kill two birds with only one stone? I thought I was out of the Quota market, but of the Red at the same effect as on a bull. I need to speak to the guys at MPH again. When I told them about my attention to purchase a Quota, Mike suggested I don't. I also like the guy's add, not the usual minimum poor wording. In any case, I am going to check it out. Thanks!

  3. I was very close until the wife intervened, will own a RE before it’s over. The new single reportedly puts out closer to 40hp, if they lighten the weight it should be a game changer.

  6. I know, I should be... the people at Iron Supply Powersports have been trying to convince me to get a Triumph Tiger GT Explorer since I told them I was looking for a Stelvio and a Quota. But I really like the older motorcycles, and I feel a lot of affinity with the 1200 NTX....

  7. If it is proven that Moto America Yamaha team used an illegal fuel, they should be disqualified. I remember some fuel issues in F1 back in the days. I can't remember what it was off the top of my head, but trying to cheat the rules is not new. I also remember Femke van den Driessche, a Belgian cyclist who had an electrical motor hidden in the frame of her bicycle. The cylindrical motor was inside the seat tube, and directly drove the crankshaft completely hidden from the view. It could be activated via wireless. As ever, she was not aware of the contraption stating she had borrowed the bike from a friend. It is sad if the Moto America Yamaha team used illegal fuel. It would ruin Jake Gagné's efforts and may also affect his reputation. Even if he claims that he was unaware of it.

  8. My 2 cents: I purchased a 2022 Guardia d Onore V85 (The black and white Oreo bike), because it came with all the nice to have items (center stand, tall windscreen, fog lamps and a full aluminum case set). Just these items would set you back about $1500 to add on if bought separately. My dealer advised me to avoid the heated grips and especially the "MIA" Guzzi add on to link your phone to the dash display. I added a set of Oxford brand heated grips to the stock wiring loom, so they runs off the Guzzi switch gear. Much cheaper and more effective than the stock MG grips. I use a Zumo XT for route finding, so that takes the place of the problematic MG MIA set up. I'll say its a decent bike, but doesn't have the push, or soul, of my V11 Le Mans. Its good to about 80mph and then it starts running out of gas, but the upright riding position, handling and gear carrying capability is nice for certain longer rides. The wind turbulence is ridiculous on the stock bikes....small tornados come up the tank cut outs for the front suspension and the windscreen seems to be designed to funnel buffeting. Its one of the biggest complaints, but I have worked it out to a decent level with an add on top scooter wind screen, home made "mouse ear" wind deflectors on the tank, additional raised hand guards and front headlight guard...... My LeMans fairing is a lot better at cutting smoothly through the wind. I agree that the Evocative "Captain America" is a great looking color scheme!
