  1. If there are more than a couple send them to one address and get them distributed locally. If nobody else can be arsed send 'em to me and I'll sort and send 'em out.

  3. We still get a choice here docc between E10, regular standard(91) 95 octane and 98 octane PULP thank god. How long it will last I don't know. Phil

  4. Shell V power 98 octane E5, but Shell says no ethanol in it. St 1 is now taking over Shell stations, so hopefully 98 octane further. Esso has 98 octane. Circle K only shitty fuel. Been a lot of big complains from rescue companies, Red Cross, fire departments and so on, regarding Atv’s and other rescue vehicles sitting for a while, and will not work because of bad fuel. The whole world is suffering from the decision parrot morons, oh well Friday so IPA time here. . Cheers Tom.

  5. The Special Sport is a name they put on the Bassa after 2000.. I’ve owned 3 Bassa. Really good bikes if you like the cruiser style. I did a lot of traveling on mine.

  6. The petrol stations here (mostly...) have E5, i.e. 5% Ethanol and generally just called "Benzin" (Petrol, Gasoline) and E10, i.e. between 5 and 10% Ethanol and always designated as "E10". Here are some Wiki links. Use deepL.com to translate if you're interested: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethanol-Kraftstoff https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/E10_(Kraftstoff) Here, it seems to be based on an EU directive https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richtlinie_2009/28/EG_(Erneuerbare-Energien-Richtlinie)

  8. Hi, I fully agree with above. The main issue with the OEM BINs and their fuel values is the lacking synchronisation of the lambda (AFR) values between the 2 cylinders. If lambda is different between the cylinders at a given operating point the engine will not run as smoothly and efficient as it could in non-closed loop mode. If it's in closed loop the slow OEM lambda probe excerbates the discontent as differing lambda values are reported to the ECU from one combustion cycle to the next. It goes crazy trying to cancel out countermanding values. Evening out the lambda values between the cylinders at any given breakpoints will achieve 95% of what can reasonably be achieved. Everything else is cream on top. And as the time needed for either is inverse (5% getting the lambda synchronity right/95% to for the rest), Plus, this approach fits best to the OEM ignition values. I have no means of checking them, but guess/hope that Mandello knew better/had the required setup, to get these right. Cheers Meinolf

  9. Hi, Ok, some nitpicking from my side. The ADC does read smaller values. The way the correlation between TPS ADC values and TPS degree values works is that the ADC value is used to select a corresponding TPS degree value in the TPS Lookup Table, TPS ADC -> TPS degree. I assume that the lowest ADC values are not used in the TPS Lookup table (0 values) as they are reserved for the error detection of the TPS signal. Cheers Meinolf

  10. Removing all the rest, including the two canisters and the cadmium plated bracket off the back of the engine sump, along with twenty feet (yep:20!) of heavy fuel line from the bike is a hassle, but sheds five pounds. And gives you your tool tray back. I distinctly recall the fastener for the lower bracket is in a hole contiguous with the oil sump. Oh, yeah, that oil will share itself with your garage floor in an exuberant fashion!

  12. No but I'm right there if you know what I mean...front brake hose almost has no slack with forks fully extended and the start/kill sw wiring had to be rerouted slightly. I don't think I can bring them back any further without replacing hoses and lengthening wiring. Also, it might cause interference issues with the fuel tank. The forks are about a 1/2" higher in the clamps with these risers vs the oem clip ons, i don't notice any difference in handling but the bike sits more "upright" on the side stand because of the risers.

Sump from the rear drive of my '72 Eldo. The thick black stuff in the sump is liquid moly that seems to be heavier than the 80w-90 gear oil and settles to the lowest point in the rear drive when static. I can't say that it is the whole 20cc's worth of LM that I put in during the last gear oil change because I have already poured some off when I removed the sump just now but it still has a substantial amount.

I added the HC Starter Relay Harness to eliminate passing high inrush current to starter solenoid through the ignition switch based on some comments I read in the forum. My own current draw tests appeared to be very low/minimal. However, should the starter solenoid become marginal, the higher draw of the solenoid could damage the ignition switch...imho. I bought the HC Starter relay, base, fuse and harness from Greg Bender at This Old Tractor. It is s nice easy install..the relay base slides onto the existing starter relay base, Red to Batt+, Black to Batt-, spade connctors are routed to starter - Female spade to starter, Male spade to exiting starter solenoid feed wire. https://www.thisoldtractor.com/for_sale_wiring_harness_ordering.html
